The pain ensues as more soldiers die,
While no one stops to even ask why;
The trials for murder and ghastly intent,
While all of the money has been properly spent;
Sons and daughters of mothers seem to run away,
The best thing to do would be to stay;
A hole dug in a trench awaiting stale sweat,
While the reaper is just waiting to be met;
Could all of our years' war theories be so wrong,
Fighting for deaths taken-killing for so long:

More reason for us to throw it down and refuse to fight.

The green grass...
wavering in height,
rising majestically
inside of the plateaued mountains.
And you took me there.
Nowhere to go but there...
to grow with the water,
follow the river down
to the crisp,swelling pools.
And you showed me where it was.
The painted flowers...
in shades of purple,
blooming introvertedly
alongside the white poppies,
And you walked me through them.
Everywhere to go in the World...

to play in the forests,
to sing with the birds,

There's this place down the shore,
right along the bay,
and I love it there.
Fishing,climbing dunes, and playing along the jetties.
Sand fights,well,
mockeries.
My father in his hip waders.
Picking shells along the beach,
Delaware Bay-Side.
I can't be without you,
my restless ocean.
I can't be anywhere except with you.
How can I be so in love with the sea?
How is this possible?
Why do I belong there?
Picking shells from the ocean floor.
I have to find you.
I will arrive tomorrow.
A place by the ocean,
Just you and I.

Will you love me like you promised that you would?
Why do you do this to me?
All that I wanted was you forever.

It's summer...and you have a thought.
The wind is swiftly passing
through you're hair and you're alone on a beach
with the sun coming up,
just watching the waves
ride in and out
along the New Jersey coastline.
No one is around
besides the sandsweeper man,
filtering through
the soft,brown pebbled shoreline,
making patterns in the sand.
You're thinking of the person
that you met last night...
An instant attraction
that led to a wild evening
of drinks
an an unwillingness
to stop the dance of angels
and leave the sand
for the oasis
of a more comfortable setting
so you do......
And all you're left with
Is a thought.

There we lay
Bodies entwined
On the beach
of serenity...

I thought you were mine..
I thought I was yours.

You walked across the room
Hands broken from mine,
just to steal a look..
at the girl nextdoor.
There I stood-
transfixed on your eyes-
and the sullen look on my face
Displayed reget
that we had even met.
You cheated in a glance
and took away the life
that I had been holding
so carefully in my hands,
for you-
with you-
My Fiancee.

The new sky moans
The swift and nocturnal adoption the of feast
climb the rungs of the ladder
on the side of the suburban home.
The moon throws up,spilling over the sight
of cats and dogs fornicating.
The still silent night
has nowhere to go but down
to anticipate nothing but death
and being balled over by flies and gnats.
The newspaper man sells
his wares
on the corner
that once proclaimed the news,
"The apocolypse has come"
but
The war is now over.
This is just life.
