    A man kills a man.
    We start a war.
    The man goes on trial.
He's sentenced to die by a group of small ,elite
    members of society.

    Should he die?

    OPINIONS?

ok, a question must be asked...did the murder the man commited start the war? or are they unrelated events?

(doesn't really effect my answer...I don't agree with the death penalty at all. but nonetheless, my question needs answered.

No...the man who killed didn't start the war..he was just possessed!!!!!!!!!
This is an example of "Bin Laden" if you know what i mean. The deathpenalty in general...philosophically.

it is just as wrong to put either the man guilty of murder or the man guilty of war to death; killing can never justify killing.

    what think you?

or the wrong person could be convicted...the jury system is inherently flawed because guilt is decided by humans, who are all flawed.

should folks be punished at all for starting wars, and if so, how and under what circumstances? ahh...that is a difficult question...

I think that once you admit that you are flawed, you're doomed.
War is a crime..I feel...but its the same thing...admission of guilt prompts one to kill..or..put yourself in a situation like that.
In the basis of almost all religion..if were talking about philosophy here,
were all true and perfect creatures, in the higher plane brought down upon the Earth. But in the Catholic Religion and the latter, The Devil does exist and has the ability to aquire souls/bodies to do his bidding...as in other religions..
they have kind of the same beliefs.

well, here we are going to have a difference of opinion...for myself, i know that I must admit i am flawed...but that's a long and somewhat different conversation...

i don't subscribe to the beliefs of any particular religion...when I refer to "God" i am simply referring to a Higher Power, something that is better than me that I can trust in. I stay away from assigning too many specific traits or dogma to this power or my relationship to it. i simply have faith in it.

I deeply respect the philosophies of all religions, though...they all have great ideas and a fundamentally beautiful view of human beings.
