Just a question: Is the streetteam similar to the Mafia? Hope no one finds a horse's head in their beds. I'm really scared now. Where CAN I go to discuss chris cornell? Is any place safe anymore?vacate is the word

No they're a group of people who are supposed to help promote Chris's music, but all they really have done is to seperate and destroy his fanbase. Why? because they're idiots. You shouldn't be scared just annoyed. They're a joke.0 -
Best to give up discussing about him. It'll only make you angry.
I'm waiting for the blues or acoustic album to come out. Until then its bye bye Chris.Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun - W.H. Auden0 -

This video leads me to the conclusion that Cornell should scrap Scream, and release an hour long version of When I'm Down. Holy shit.Mike_Muse_Rage wrote:Fantastic compilation of songs from a recent show:

Thanks for the explanation. I'll sleep tight tonight! Another ?: Does PJ have a streetteam? I thought it was for promo of newer music. Chris has been recording for 21 years. I don't get it. Doesn't he have an A-list management team? Or only when he's with a band? (I know nothing about marketing or business). Should his streetteam be eliminated if they are actually doing more harm than good to his career?
Any reviews/setlists for Chris's Ottawa show? Anyone seeing him in Toronto or Montreal? Help me!vacate is the word

Yes, I for one think they should. I think they have helped destroy CC's reputation online. I won't even go and defend CC on blogs or stuff any more, even if I feel inclined to; I know the ST will have been there and made all CC fans seem like rabid fanatics who can't take the least hint of criticism anyway.0 -

Sorry I got the cities mixed up. I'm an Amuhriken!
Thanks a million for all the info and killer setlist! How cool is it that chris took your sunshower sign and then held it during the entire song?! Must have made you feel great and special at the same time!
The encore alone would have killed me! Please keep the reviews/setlists coming everybody!
Fluttermoth, I thought I was the only one who felt in limbo in regards to chris. Should we start a support group?! Maybe chris himself will have to join at some point!vacate is the word

I know, I find myself doing the same thing where I read an article about Chris where there is the opportunity to leave a comment, but I won't just because I see the ST all over it and I don't want to be lumped in that group. get rid of them...they're sickening.0 -

that immigrant song cover in the above youtube link gives alot of credibility to the chris joining the zeppelin reunion tour rumor... might be good for him just to focus on that and scrap scream all together0 -
This thing is going to bomb. I know that probably doesn't even need to be said...but seriously. The album is like a disaster in slow-motion, mainly because the thing STILL ISN'T OUT. The CC fans who liked Soundgarden, Audioslave, and EM/Carry On are goooooone. The new teenybopper/mainstream market they were aiming for obviously doesn't give a crap because none of the singles have charted at all. Well, one single is...Bubbling under the Hot 100.
So all he has now to depend on for sales are his new psycho stalker/groupie/streetteam fanbase, and a few in-denial fans.
This thing would be lucky to crack the Top 20 on the Billboard 200. Carry On hit #17, and the last Audioslave hit #2. Chris Cornell broke up Audioslave for more chart success...and it looks like the exact OPPOSITE is happening. That's what he deserves, I guess.0 -

This bullshit. I don't see how this is a defensible position to take at all since AS was clearly the road to chart sucess-which he walked away from.
Some of you guys have taken this whole street team thing WAY to personally and act as though Cornell did this collaboration to personally slight YOU. Its almost to the point where I'm begining to hate this kind of attitude more than the "street teamers" themselves. Now maybe I'm a fan in denial but on the other hand I never made the mistake of becoming personally attached to the artist-just the music he produced.0 -
I've gone from feeling very strongly about it to just not giving a hot shit. I'll keep running Cornell's r'n'b abortion-as-career down for laughs, but to be honest, I just want the album to come already so I can move past the complete apathy I feel, and decide if he's worth following anymore, or if his old albums are all I'll need from now on.searchlightsoul wrote:This bullshit. The streetteam and Cornells collaboration are two different things.
I don't personally fault Chris for experimenting, I'm just disappointed by the results. Chris's best qualities -voice, lyrics, and muscianship all got lost in this generic overproduced collaboration. It's embarrassing for his talent imo.
The streetteam is just annoying and hurt Chris more than helps him. That is a shame for Chris. They have a bad reputation as persistent bullies and turn more people off than on.
It is great to know that his live shows are still kick ass. ACCbootlegGodess that is a great setlist that is awesome that he took your request and held your sign. that is what its all about.0 -

Looks like you got a much better show then the one i saw in Ottawa last night....This may not be 100% accurate, but i believe Chris hit the stage around 9:45pm and was done before 11:15pm.
Im guessing he cut this one short....not sure why, although the crowd was fairly lame and lots of empty seats (i was 4th row after the GA and the whole 3rd row infront of me was practically empty!).
Fairly similar setlist, only shorter. No new songs, and the one song encore was Spoonman. Black Hole Sun was done full band and the accoustic stuff....Hide Your Love Away, Billie Jean, Like A Stone, Doesn't Remind Me, etc...was the highlight for me.
All in all he sounds great as did the band, but the show was far too short.Shows: Montreal 98, Barrie 98, Montreal 00, Montreal 03, Montreal 05, Ottawa 05, Toronto 06, Vancouver Night 1 08 (EV), Vancouver Night 2 08 (EV), MSG1 08, MSG2 08, Montreal Night 2 08 (EV), Toronto Night 1 08 (EV), Toronto 09, Hartford 11 (EV), Ottawa 11, Ottawa 16, Ottawa 22.0 -
