new album is out today folks. buy up!
    and like that... he's gone.
  • There is this local quasi-sex-symbol morning show dj in my hometown. She managed to get herself invited to the playboy mansion; it wasn't a radio station promo or anything, she was off air for a week or so...

When she returned, the other dj's mentioned on-air that she met one of the Buckcherry guys at the mansion...she said he took her up to the Hollywood sign for a picnic or something. That was all she would tell, but she sounded pretty star-struck...

....a few weeks later it was announced that Buckcherry was playing the stations' annual Halloween party ;)
  • buckcherry and avenged sevenfold both need to have their vocal chords tattoed for three hours and their equipment trailer unhitched somewhere in the middle of nowhere, IL.
  • Buckcherry are actually a pretty decent band, they have some good songs. "In the Movies" I think its called is a great little song. There's a few tracks on "15" that I liked but, Josh Todd all in all is a horrible lyricist and Crazy Bitch was one of the worst songs ever imo. They weren't satisfied with that level of awful so they wrote "Too Drunk" for the new album coming out. So, what positive qualities they have are canceled out by things like Crazy Bitch and Too Drunk which is obviously them trying to recapture Crazy Bitch.
The Official Matt Cameron appreciation signature!

My friend is their guitar tech, and slowly bringing me onboard to their music. It reminds me of the 80's wild, crazy rock & roll days!
I knew all the rules, but the rules did not know me...GUARANTEED!

    Hail Hail HIPPIEMOM

yeah, i like my rock and roll to be about how i can't get laid and how my girlfriend cheats on me (because i'm a pansy) and how my parents don't love me (because i'm a whiny loser). it's suppose to be serious! rock and roll is about being serious! not fun!

i'll say it again, the reason you all don't like buckcherry is because you know that if you took your girlfriend to a party she'd ditch you to be gangbanged by the whole band because they actually have a pair.

yeaahhh...that's what i said. i only love serious rock music. buddy. i can promise you i was listening to these guys while you were still shitting yourself over limp bizkit. they're just shit now.

and i'd beat the shit out of josh todd (AWESOME solo album by the way..and by awesome i mean fantastically shitty bro music). the guy is a squid.

They're a bunch of ugly fuckers rapidly approaching middle age who had a handfull of decent songs on their first album which came out like ten years ago - is that what hot girls are into these days?!

they certainly aren't into guys who wear makeup and cry a lot and always have serious and pretentious opinions about the artistic merits of people making music in a genre that has always been about having fun.

Dude this is coming from someone who enjoyed their first album, quite a lot - but that style of music got old quickly. And I hate to point it out, but Josh Todd used to wear more eye make up than every emo singer combined.

This would be a strong argument if the music was fun and GOOD.

There are plenty of bands who just make enjoyable, albeit meaningless, penis-led rock music, and then there are bands like Buck Cherry, a band I actually feel sorry for. Yes, I know, they get all the sex they want ( ), but frankly so can any other prostitute.
"I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"

got any examples of these bands and care to explain how they are so superior?

  • the pathetic 80s women they draw these days. you know. tight jeans. studded belts. saggy parts all over the place. they can have all the sex they want with them.

basically anyone who you saw in heavy metal parking lot now goes to buckcherry shows.
  • sweet i didn't know the new album was coming out already. i can't wait! i need to go pick up this and metallica's "death magnetic"

No current ones that spring to mind. I'm thinking of Appetite for Destruction era Guns n' Roses, The Replacements, that kind of thing. If you're making out like you're some kind of dangerous junkie sleazebag with AIDS, make music that sounds the same, not like a glossy Guitar Hero advert.

Perhaps our definition of "fun" differs but I don't get a huge kick of music that panders to the lowest common denominator.

  • I always pictured Buckcherry as the kind of band who screw their groupies, then beat them afterward.
Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.
