Gotta love a girl who does my bidding. ... Oh, wait a minute ... The more people coming to the pre-party, the more funds for the raising, right? Whew, I thought we almost shared a moment there indirect as it were. What would Mr. dream have said?
  • Hoping to get another NYC meetup going. Our very own Tony's co-opted band, No Code, will be performing at Sullivan Hall on Friday 5/2 from 10-11:30.

I'm looking for some feedback regarding a spot for dinner/drinks before the show. Let's make it happen!

    -Sam

    I'm coming.....

    1) What's up with the "brazilian girl" part at the beginning of this thread??? I am Brazilian, so don't get me offended!

    2) What time is the show going to start and how much is it?

    3) I am coming from CT, so is there any parking there? What would you recommend???

    1. no clue.

    2. I think its 10 bucks before 10PM, and 15 bucks after 10.

    3. I recommend the MetroNorth. Driving is not worth it. Parking around the village will be difficult, and very expensive on a Friday night. I'm coming from CT too, and i'm taking the MetroNorth into Grand Central, and then probably the 6 to Bleeker St., and then walk the few blocks.

PS: Last train to CT leaves at 1:49 AM from Grand Central.

It's shaping up to be a scene. I just hope this isn't the kid who played Jeremy in the video, now "all growns up," as Vince Vaughn said in "Swingers". The trauma of having won an MTV award may still linger, and I shudder to think how he might "speak" if the faux Eddie sucks.

What happened to the kitty's entourage of 8? Will it be convening at Sullivan? Or was that estimate just standard MySpace hyperbole? I for one NEVER exaggerate in that corner of the Interwebby *cough*... (more like *gag*)...

Seriously, I hope you find a travel partner to help get you to the joint in time to hear your song. You requested "Bugs," right? I know it was something on Vitalogy...

Good question, Sam. For a suitable dining location, we could either go with your own recommendation or that of another prominent Pit member/city dweller (paging since i fell apart).

Perish the thought, Ms. Vedder. I was merely running with an out-of-left-field post early in this thread. As we all know -- some more intimately than others -- Brazilian women are genetically gifted. Just ask Tom Brady. (I prefer that he field the question from a Jets defender, in a prone position, but that's just the long-suffering bleeder of green-and-white in me talking.)

I'm thinking of the theme outfit such an eatery might inspire in Seth, and I'm getting scared.

I did just happen to visit the Costume Shop on Broadway between 10th and 11th the other day.

Can you believe it's $130 for a chicken suit?

    Unbelievable!

Okay, I'll bite. It would be pure zaniness if a legion of Pearl Jam fans took to sporting costume jewelry when real diamonds are (thankfully) still in abundance — and relatively inexpensive compared with other gems (though U2 skews the median). Since female Jammers are the finest-looking concert-goers this side of Brazil, I personally wish they'd shun all accessories in favor of displaying gratuitous amounts of skin. (The guys who've posted on NY PJ1's current thread — http://forums.pearljam.com/showthread.php?t=282367 — could probably be more persuasive than this reserved *ahem* gentleman.)

Nonsensical metaphors aside (you'll soon find that statement to be a cruel lie), as long as folks continue to support No Code's collective PJ habit, we'll keep passing the dutchie on the left-hand side. (Not dating myself too obviously with that reference, am I?)

As per playing a January show in NYC, it's a strong possibility if we remain on an every three-to-four months schedule. I hope to book the next one in September and the following one in January 2009.

I thought a duck suit would be more appropriate for reasons that are obvious to the rest of the band.
