Our very own Tony's band, No Code...
Far be it for me to embellish the words of a man organizing a meet-up around a No Code show, but a more apt description might have been "our very own Tony's co-opted band, No Code..." It's the lyric Alanis Morissette omitted from "Ironic," to be sure. - Tony

Nonetheless, I wouldn't miss a No Code show on my home turf (or anywhere else, so it seems of late).

...or will they be using the No Code show as a warm-up for whatever it is that Brazilian girls do?

You mean you'd stomp your feet if we relegated our live performances to Jersey and other outposts in the hinterlands, right?

That's entirely possible, SEN...if you'll be in NYC for PJ's MSG shows. Check out the pre-party event listed in our sig.

But I think I've proven my willingness to follow the band to great distances beyond the boundaries of my home town...or at least to Philly, Westchester and all over Jersey.

...and it's not the female attractions at Studio B. If, say, Pearl Jam themselves were to pop into NYC to play an unannounced (and way early) warm-up show for their upcoming mini-tour, the Sullivan stage would sooner feature dancing Brazilian girls than rocking faux Jammers.

Seriously, we look forward to meeting you, given2fly10.

Wow, you've followed the band all over the Northeast, huh? Sounds as if you're a groo— . . . er, uh, I mean an avid supporter. In whichever box No Code show-goers fit (and we all know how people just love being confined to one), we appreciate them equally. Some are just more equal than others.

I am happy to report that we'll be playing an extended set beginning at approximately 10:00. But you might want to stick around to check out Schism (http://schismbandnyc.com/Home_Page.html), if you haven't done so already. We shared a bill with them last Friday in Hoboken, and we can attest that they put on a dazzling show that is enhanced by video projection.

Jose! It'll be great to have you in the room when we rock off the roof, as we've frequently missed each other at shows and meet-ups.

And thanks for publicizing the fact that our esteemed thread-starter celebrated his 25th birthday on tax day (gotta stalk those profiles more often). No wonder he hasn't represented in these parts lately: the solemn duty of self-inebriation called. HAPPY B-DAY, SAM!

To demonstrate my appreciation of cutting rejoinders, I'm willing to offer you the opportunity to regain my good graces. Just lure an additional 25 bodies, alive or undead, to the May 2 show, and you may reclaim your revoked seat.
