Yeah they suck ass. Its such a deliberate attempt to be cool, trying to have the rock'n'roll swagger..but they just do it in such a generic prototypical way, its like the read the dummies guide to hard rock and started a band. "yeah let's get a bunch of tattoos and write a song called crazy bitch, throw the f word into some of our songs, and act like drunks who party all the time..its so cool and rebellious"...too bad the music sucks and has no originality.

There's a huge difference between generic shit like Buck Cherry and band's like QOTSA or Oasis who have attitude and are cool, not trying to be cool.

    1. the band ahd the tattoos long before they formed a band. they all met becos they had the same tattoo artist.

    2. deliberate? these guys lived it while you were still sucklin your momma's titty, and they were probly gang banging her while you did. there's no act in the band.

    3. who said anything about rebellion? they write about their party lifestyle. nothings rebellious about it.

    4. originality is fucking over-rated. radiohead went original and they blew. since axl's ego exploded guns'n'roses, somebody needed to put some ass-kicking back into rock. i dont know about you, but im tired of pussy rock. queens of the stone age can kiss my ass. oasis is excellent, but they're mellowing with age. i for one am glad we've still got a band that i can see kicking the shit out of fallout boy in a bar brawl. we need more of that.

    Fuckin' A.

Look at these weakass bands that keep putting out records - "Modest Mouse" for example. Sounds like a band that some whiney 16 year old would listen to, complaining about how he's misunderstood and how it angers him that people stare at him when he wears all black and eyeliner at the friggin mall. Spending his time thinking about the eeeeevils of capitalism as he plays video games and listens to his iPod for hours on end.

We need bands like Buckcherry & JET to balance it out....

This is a PJ board so some wienies on here will probably cry about this, but here is a great quote by Zakk Wylde. I am posting it b/c he probably thinks there is too much weak music on the radio right now, too.

"That's the difference between the lyrics I write and a band like Pearl Jam. For example: Let's say you save up enough dough to buy a fucking case of Raw Ass - it's the worst tasting beer we can buy, but that's all we got the money for - you're out in front of the liquor store, and some guy puts it in the back of his truck and fucking takes off. "Motherfucker! We just lost our beer and the dough!" Eddie Vedder will fucking whine about it, being a pussy, and write a song about being a wuss and how it's crushed his fucking life now cause this asshole drove off with his beer. Come to Black Label, man! What we do is, we get his license plate number, find out where he fuckin' lives, go down, smash his truck with a cinder blocks through the windshield, get the beer, then light his house on fire, get drunk, and write a song about it. That's the way Black Label handles it, man! It's pure fucking comedy at it's best!!"

No shit. People want to think there has to be some cosmic shit going on for a band to make music. No. Buckcherry had the same tattoo artist, met each other, and said hey, let's write songs about getting all lit up again and put out a record. Everything doesn't have to be about being misunderstood or about global warming to be valid.

    Buckcherry still sucks though.

i think you'll find this is pretty unpopular here. music HAS to be about very serious topics to be legit. it has to be about heartbreak or politics. then it is art. music as celebration and having a good time is frowned upon because it is shallow.

for instance, jailhouse rock by elvis was not a song that was about elvis dancing in the movies. it was a pointed critique of our prison society. that's why he's the king. there was nothing fun about his music.

Good Lord. Everyone will end up in rehab after this tour is over.

Motley Crue is rumored to be teaming up with several other acts from the
Tenth Street Entertainment management stable - Buckcherry, Papa Roach, and Drowning Pool - for a U.S. tour that will kick off in early July.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that the trek will go out under the moniker
Cruefest - which is not to be confused with the association that organizes
concerts at various locations around the world throughout the year to raise
money for the various Crue-affiliated charities (including Skylar Neil
Memorial Fund, Nikki Sixx's Running Wild in the Night foundation, Tommy
Lee's charity of choice St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Mick Mars'
    charity Spondylitis Association of America).

Crue will officially announce its touring plans on April 15 in Los Angeles,
according to a press release. All four members of the group will be present
at a location yet to be determined for what the release hyped as "by
far...one of the biggest music announcements of the year!!" The band is also
launching a contest in which one grand prize winner from each major city in
the country will be flown to Los Angeles to cover the announcement, complete with a chance to interview the band and have the interview broadcast live. Details can be found at the official Crue site.

The band is currently working on its ninth studio album and first featuring
all four original members since 1997's "Generation Swine". Bassist Nikki
Sixx said in an online posting, "Tommy's (Lee, drums) kickin' ass, Vince
(Neil, vocals) sounds insane and (Mick) Mars is shredding on guitars. It
doesn't feel like one song is better or worse than any other. It feels so
good to be excited about something you've worked on so hard...I'm so excited
for you all to hear it."

The album, titled "The Dirt" after the group's memoir of the same name, is
tentatively due out on July 8.

Buckcherry has three new tunes posted from their upcoming release, Black Butterfly, at http://www.myspace.com/buckcherry.

These are good, sleazy songs and are in line with what Buckcherry have done. THey are sure to upset the self-appointed music elite, the pearligious, and those obsessed with Jamily Posters...which is a good sign that this is good rock and roll.

Those of you who love a Friday night out with no reason to wake up early the next day will love it.

This is beautiful. I plan on using it often.
It is time to admit that we used to rock like hurricanes. It is time to run for the hills and go round and round. It is time for us to shout at the devil. We've got the right to choose it, there ain't no way we'll lose it, and we're not gonna take it anymore.

I'd love to take credit for pearligious, but I can't. I can't recall who came up with it.

Nevertheless, I love how this was made to be a thread about hating Buckcherry, and now it's turned into a thread about how Buckcherry kicks ass. Almost poetic.

These songs seem fun if I was 21. But alas, I'm not, and it's not Buck Cherry's fault either. It's Father Time's fault....oooooooh how I hate you Father Time.
