U2 not even top 20 in my list, but that is just one persond opinion.
I agree with everything you said. U2 might be in the bottom half of my top 20, but probably not if I actually sat down to think about it. Others include Counting Crows, STP, SP lately, and NOT Coldplay. Coldplay = music for bedwetters. I know that won't be popular, but if I hear Yellow one more time I might jump off a bridge. I hear James Blunt is auditioning for lead singer . . .Ask, I'm an ear0 - 
            Yellow? That's about 5 years old by now ... But yeah, we do know Coldplay are bland pissy pop-rock, there is alot worse out there though.All my favourite singers have stolen all of my best lines.0
