    I honestly dont know what to think of it. it sounds too much like theyre trying to be something their not (aka KOL)

    its honestly a good song, if it wasnt from PJ. I hope i change my mind.

    i hear yah brotha!!! fuckin song was fantastic! the studio version will be sooo sweet. and once they fall into the live groove it'll become even so much better! totally loved the different twist they put on a punk rock tune! i'm dying for this album. i think it'll be very fresh sounding

    Why are people saying it sounded like KoL? Have you ever heard a KoL song? PJ are not southern rockers, and definately don't sound like the new KoL (the latest two albums wern't very good. the first two are amazing).

    Thought it got better and better as the song rolled on.

    Will only grow on me more! Psyched for the album now.

    According to wikipedia album drops September 22....damn was hoping for a sooner date.

    i in no way hear ANY kings in that. some strokes, some sleater-kinney.. yea, but no KOL.

    i'm definitely digging it. much more to it than anything on the 'cado (not knocking the 'cado either).

    this new album is 2 for 2 with me so far.
    i'm more a fan of popular bands.. like the bee-gees, pearl jam

    Ed's voice was a little off, but that song was fucking awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Love it and can't wait to hear it on the album. I thought the drums sounded inspired for the first time in a long time.

    i already wrote my review...its PJ Punk Rock and I Like It...sounds so much better than WWS and I hope Backspacer shits on Avocado
    never compare PJ to KOL..PJ is PJ and they only sound like Pearl Jam

    I think you've been listening too much to KOL and have them on the brain a bit too much ...

    that wasn't KOL-like ... I can't think of one song in KOL's library that reminded me of.

    and I kind of laugh at the notion that they are trying to BE KOL.

    I don't get the KOL stuff, it was too punk to be likened to KOL early good stuff, and not the schlock of their latest.

    BTW, put me in the "impressed" camp. Musically it reminded me of PJs take on "The Real Me" from the VHI Who special.

    It definately sounds like KOL to me, or any other modern new rock band. Put someone elses vocals on it and you wouldnt be able to tell its PJ. Im sort of disapointed. On the plus side, the leaked showbox song was MUCH better.

    Maybe it was the rolling stone article that put it in my head.

    it's really starting to grow on me now. thanks to the new mp3 versions i can really hear matt's drumming and it's great. i dont hear the KOL in it either and def. not anything off this past album

    I missed the beginning but caught most of the song. I loved it, it had a lot of energy! I can't wait to hear the studio version :)

    seriously??
    it sounded like they were playing really fast and couldnt hear each other. ed looked like he was just trying to keep up and not forget the words. probably the worst vocal live ever heard him do. he looked heavier and maybe his wind wasnt there. just kinda screamed his way through. i think they bit off more than they could chew trying to rush a new song out there to get the conan publicity, when the album isnt even coming out til the end of september. kinda bummed after being so pumped for a few weeks now.
    i know its a fan forum here, but c'mon, we dont have to be apologists. so as much as i love pj, tonight was crap.
    i have faith it'll be ironed out for the 2 shows in chicago im going to see. still REALLY excited for the new album. all in all, between the bad Target press, and the conan disaster, my buzz is a little killed for now.
    take a breath, get it together boys, and make it right for the United Center.

    That song is awesome whatever it is called!!!!!!!! First PJ song in a long time that I really really liked the first time I heard it. I hope there are more like it on backspacer. I hope they play this at one of the chicago shows.
