there aren't many people i will wait around to get a sig. from but i'm gonna try my best in nashville to get my ITW cover signed. call me a freak or a stalker, i guess...
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.
People should not stalk for an autograph. If you happen to bump into him then great get an autograph but the whole waiting outside a venue for him to leave thing seems very creepy to me.
It's really not creepy. Following him down the street, hiding out in the bushes --- THAT'S creepy. Hanging out in a public area where Ed might happen to walk by (ie, the street by the bus) ... there's no harm in that.
What your saying is reasonable.
From reading these boards some people seem a little too obsessed with meeting the band and getting autographs, etc. As long as no one does anything stupid then its all good. They are just regular people like the rest of us.
I think outside a venue is fair game. Going up to Ed while he's enjoying a meal at Denny's with his family is not cool.
Ed eats at Dennys?????

Yeah, a bunch of fans hanging out near the tour bus isn't that creepy. A friend and I hung out for an hour last summer, just because we were interested to see if anything actually happened (nothing did). But standing there, I was people watching. Some of the fans waiting for Ed looked weary and exhausted, a couple were falling asleep standing up. It gave me the feeling that perhaps some fans do let the the idea of meeting him turn into an obsession.

That is exactly the point I was trying to make! I see nothing wrong with haning out with a group of fans near the tour bus but lurking in an alley after a show for many hours waiting to meet him and get an autograph is weird.

Shocking isn't it? I always thought Ed was more of an IHOP fan. Especially for those late night munchies!
