I'm driving in from Detroit. Is it true that the Hyatt is asking for 48 dollars a night parking???? WTF if true. Any garages close by to park?

there is another thread discussing the parking situation. I found a site that lists parking garages around the hotel. I'm not sure how much they are. I will be calling a few of them closer to the date to see if we find one with a decent price.

also, add corduroy10 to the list of people staying at the hotel

Grant Park North Parking Garage (Millenium Park) is probably about 3-5 blocks away. That's probably the cheapest you'll get that close to the hotel. It used to be cheap......don't know if it's still as cheap as it used to be. It seems that in the last few months Chicago hiked up the parking rates/meters.

I just booked a room here too for myself and my girlfriend. I have a $200 gift card for Hyatt and Priceline @ $60 is still cheaper for 2 nights! They must be expecting a light weekend with schools starting back up.

first post updated...29 rooms now! Can we get to 50?! I know there are people from the chicago hotels thread who haven't signed this one over here...

how long before the deal runs out at Priceline, do you think? I'm surprised they've given us so many rooms...

Yeah, we all got our good rate through Priceline.com, so definitely get it now....

Go to the Name your own price section...when it asks you to select the area, choose the one with "Loop" in it...select a four star hotel...and put in a bid of $60.

If there are rooms left, you should get the Hyatt Regency like the rest of us. I haven't heard anyone say it didn't work for them yet. Important to note, though...this is not a reservation, you have to pay for the room now. Also, parking is expensive ($48/night), which is an obvious issue for those coming with or renting a car.

    good luck!

I think that's a question only the Hyatt Regency can answer...

    probably depends on the day...
