Okay, that's odd. Because somehow, I ended up with one of these in my fridge and it just sits there starring at me. Taunting me. Making snide comments about the future heartburn I will get from trying it one of these days.

First time trying this. Not a big porter guy usually but I like most Revolution beers so though I’d give it a whirl. It’s pretty good. Like a stronger version of Guinness (6.8%).

^ Damn bud. Quite a variety pack there. You have a favorite out of the bunch? How’s that spicy meat ball?

Same here.  I have zero interest in any sort of spicy beer that has jalapenos or other hot stuff in it.
If you're referring to my photo of Spicy Meatballs- it's just the name.  Luckily it's not spicy or taste like meatballs haha.

Favorite out of the bunch is Triple Mosaic Dream (pink can).  It's almost creamy and mosaic is one of, if not my favorite, hops.

If you haven’t tried it, give Lizard King by Pipeworks a whirl. It’s not all mosaic hops but I think that’s the predominant hop used. Real good beer. Do they distribute in NY?

I’ve had and I’m a big fan. Been fortunate to try all their main beers and a few rarer ones.

Good, but makes me wonder how many time they can dry hop and double an IPA.
Has anyone seen a quadruple IPA?

Here it is bud. If you haven’t had it, put it near the top of your list of beers to try when you visit Chicago. I like a LOT of beers, but this is ol’ trusty for me. If all beers were going away and I had to pick one, I’d be hard pressed to choose something over this.

Yep. Admittedly, I’ve found some “alternatives” that are cheaper and more readily available, like Brickstone APA for example. But nothing compares to the real thing.
  • darwinstheorydarwinstheory Posts: 6,443
I've heard of the Brickstone APA but have yet to come across it.

I have had a Zombie Dust vs. Unicorn (Pipeworks Brewing) collab after Dark Lord Day at FFF brew pub. Best beer I can recall ever having. I asked the guys at Pipeworks if they were going to start bottling the stuff and they said yes. Keep an eye out for that stuff!

^ The Brickstone APA is not going to blow you away like some of these rare beers, but for a go-to six pack that tastes close to Zombie Dust, it’s a must try. Binnys carries it regularly.

I love Zombie Dust and I love Ninja vs. Unicorn, so to hear that Pipeworks is going to bottle a hybrid of the two is insane. I need to try this!! Did they say when we can anticipate the bottling of it?

Dude, you have to try it. I don’t think three floyds distributes east coast so your Chicago trip might be the first crack at it. Even then it’s hit or miss for bars to have it.
