Who's coming to Berlin?

If you were here in 2006 you know the venue already, great place for a summer concert. We are organizing a PJ meet up on friday 14th.

OFFICIAL PRE-PARTY:

Bang Bang Club:

http://www.bangbangclub.net/

Here is the address and the map, it's very well located (Mitte), easy access for everyone, the club is big enough to handle hordes of rabid jammers, normally it starts late, around twelve, that means we could have a pre-pre party  There is an entrance fee, I really don't remember how much, but it's normally not more than 6 euros.

Bang-Bang is kind of tricky to find, for better reference there is an irish pub (Kilkenny Pub) and behind it (beneath the train station under a bridge) you can find the club.

Bang Bang Club
Neue Promenade 10
10178 Berlin-Mitte
S-BHF Hackescher Markt

All easyjet and ryanair flights leave from Schönefeld, which is in the outskirts of Berlin, 45 minutes from the city center.

I'll be there, (a) it's the closest gig this year, (b) returning to the Wuhlheide (location of my first PJ concert back in '06) sounds like a very very good idea. 8-)

And maybe this time the public transport system won't cause as many trouble as back in '06.

    I'm there :)
And hoping this time it will be a great experience for me. Berlin '06. was a pain in the butt for several reasons, but a memorable show nonetheless... :)
    See you there!

I say we just totally take over a smaller sized hostel like we did in Dusseldorf 07. If not, can't go too wrong with Wombats.

Yes in the news an early entry for 10C members is mentioned, but can you guys tell me how it worked in 2006 in the Wuhlheide? I was in the Astoria back then and it worked great!

  • There are two entrances to Wühlheide, the one that we used was right to the main entrance, there are sings that can lead you there, I think we entered 15 minutes before the rest.

  • The venue is on the far east side of Berlin, so if anyone is looking for Hostels the best area would be around Friedrichshain (Ostbahnhof) another nice district on the east is Prenzlauer Berg (tons of places to go out)

Last time was like this, there are two entrances, one was the main for the general audience and there is another one that was used for 10c members.

I´ll be there, too! :D I was also there in 2006, but without 10c tickets. Was it announced as "special early entry" back then, too? I´m still wondering what this might mean...

go sign the roll call folks, lets get an idea of numbers for this show!

The mix up with transport in 06 wasnt that bad really! Once i listened to what the nice men & women told me to do it worked fine, it was only when i insisted that i wanted ONE train the whole way to Kopenick from the city that problems arose! Oh us stubborn irish!

Must check out these recommended areas. Ill probably rent a car for the shit of it this time, altho it is a VERY easy city to get around. I wonder if there are any matches on in Olympiastadium around then...*opens new google tab*...

Well think twice about renting a car, it might be a little crowded on the day of the gig... after all the venue is only 20 mins by bus or train from Alexanderplatz! As you say, it is a very easy city to get around!

The World Championships in Athletics will be at the Olympiastadion so there'll be no matches during that time.

not for the show, i realise! The Wuhlheide is a very easy place to get to on the train! Ive been to Berlin before, and didnt bother seeing much before, so i just meant for my day or two of rambling around, a car would / could be useful!
