I will never ''out them'' and won't. I should have never made this thread. I sometimes do things and not think first. I'm only human and we make mistakes.

    Peace
    patrick, no need to apologize.
you've had a rough year. hope things are better with your dad.

I’m under the assumption that this person is probably just getting themselves into further debt. If they charged these most recent tickets, it does not mean they have the money to pay that off any time soon either, therefore, probably do not have your money. It’s certainly no excuse. It’s actually pretty ballsy if you ask me, to post about getting tickets knowing damn well they owe you.

What can you do. I applaud you though for not outing them. I don’t like that crap. It’s between you and them, not us.
Don't come closer or I'll have to go
  • Did you loan people on this message board money so they could buy PJ tickets in the past? It does bother me when people use other people to get what they want... like that one chick that was using people left and right to get Ten Club tickets.. UGHHH. Sorry Patrick. :( I pay people back too and trust me one day when I'm alright I'll get back all the people that have helped me in my life, even when it's been a gift. Have you asked these people to pay you back?

sounds like you came to some kind of resolve with the person that owed you, and now you feel guilty for making the thread...unless you exaggerated in the OP, you have nothing to feel guilty about. you didn't out them, but lit a fire and got shit done...that's a shrewd business move, not a bad-friend move....the bad-friend move is taking a year to pay someone $100+

I hate borrowing money because I forget if I paid the person back or not....except the bank.

There should be a thread here...

where we "OUT" everyone on this board who is so full of shit that it is coming out of their fucking ears......

it would be the most popular thread ever!!!!!!!

    hehehehehe................
Hahaha that would be great

Patrick that is so so shit... I've both borrowed from and loaned to plenty of people here... I paid it all back when I said I would and made up for it with SOME kind of interest (like sorting out the accommodation for me and them or whatever). I've been lucky that everybody's paid ME back too. Some even that I'd forgotten about and didn't get a chance to see them for a long long time and suddenly the next time I see them they're 'oh here's the 70euro I owe you' which was a pleasant surprise since I'd forgotten  . Thankfully I've never had an issue like yours and I've done plenty of borrowing and lending... but if it DID happen to me and they weren't somebody I was close to... I certainly WOULD create this thread. Hopefully they see it and see what an ass they've been  This is no way to treat people!

Exactly. I was discussing the mindset of the lender at the time the money is given. I have adopted the principle that I won't loan any money to anyone. I just give it to them if I want to and if they pay me back, that is their choice.
This IS a good point... there have been times when I'm pretty broke and can't REALLY afford to lend but I'll say that and specify WHEN I need it back and I've been lucky to always get it back (that would only be with people I KNOW will give it back anyway) but generally if I give someone a spare ticket or something I'm not thinking about the money when I do... but then I've always been pretty ok for money and didn't NEED it anyway. It's a different story if you've asked for it... and it's an ASS of a thing to do.

Karma will get them.... but it really does suck. I've been in that situation a few times.... I've learned to just write these things off from the beginning. If I get paid back, sweet. If not, I'm already not expecting it.
