Paying your debts back to people that you owe

I find my blood boiling today cause of people and their actions. They bought their Ed tickets threw 10c or Ticketmaster today and are all set for June. So I guess that was more important then paying back the people you still owe from last year? What gives you that right to do that? I have waited over a year and heard nothing but excuses. I understand that times have been tough. But I guess not that tough cause your still able to buy tickets and concert cds. Or maybe you once again had somebody else buy them for you. I have been silent about it and even forget about it over this past year. There were times when I really could have used that money but said ok whenever you can. But over the past few days it has really got to me. How can people be so selfish and not fucking care? At the time I even said just pay me back for one show not both and were cool. I mean if somebody told me that I would be so amazed and happy. And as soon as I could I would find a way and pay them right back for doing that for me. But instead you treated it like it was nothing and took advantage of me. I will never see you as the same person again. You do what's best for you and leave the rest of us in limbo.     I don't blame you for being irate, I would be too. To not pay you back is bad enough but to see them spending money is just terrible. There can be no excuse for that at all. :evil: :roll: I don't know how they live with themselves, I know I couldn't. :) People like that will get what's due them in the end, at least I hope so. :lol:

    and further, I would either demand their tickets from them, or demand payment from them. Both are reasonable - but you have every right to be 100% pissed off now. If they still owe you money, and said they're having "tough times" to play off your sympathy to not pay you, then their recent purchases have confirmed they were lying to you. I'd say PAYMENT IS DUE. :twisted:

    i just bought 2 atl show tix cause my friend said yea man im in so get both shows
    i replied i cant really afford all that on my card right now but he insisted to pay me friday
    well he just bailed on me when i asked for money friday..said cant afford to pay me yet
    bank account is seeing red again

    told him to fuck off
    im goin solo..just cant go out for a couple weeks.

    as you and I have discussed before.....

    there are people here who portray themselves as fucking angels.....who will lie, cheat, steal ......and do whatever the fuck they can to get their precious pearl jam tickets....

    I dont know the circumstances involving your specific situation......but nobody likes to be treated like an asshole.....

    but you and I have both discussed this situation before.....

    I just don't understand that. I CANNOT owe money. I hate debt no matter whether its credit or borrowed funds from family. It keeps me up at night.

    I hope it works out for you, and that this person does the right thing.

    Perhaps you'll even find out that they've done this kind of thing to other people here?

    I was torn early today if I should have made this thread. Cause I don't like to do this stuff in public. I was venting out but it also didn't help seeing all the Ed threads and seeing the person's name in some of them. I do feel I was taken and as the saying goes. Cheat me once shame on you. Cheat me twice shame on me. Trust me I have learned my lesson.

    A friend of mine is notorious for saying he'll pay me back, and of course, never does. I'm slowly weaning myself to say "I can't". The big stuff (concert tickets) has become easy (especially since I moved out and have more bills, and since my dog has required a lot of medical care in the last 2-3 years), but I'm having a hard time with saying no to the smaller stuff (a couple of beers here, some pizza-topping condiments there). It may only be $5-$10 at a time, but it adds up. If I bring it up, it's certain to be a conflict that I'm not sure how to handle. When I picture it in my head, I say all the right things, but I know in person/over the phone, my words will get caught in my throat and it'll just get worse.

    It's one of the reasons why I go to concerts alone now. I'm like Cinnamon Girl, I feel bad if I owe money to the credit card company, let alone my friends or family.

    It sucks that you got shafted but posting their name here would be in poor taste. Would it help to get your money back? Probably not. It would just create a messier situation and you don't seem like the type of person that would get a lot of personal satisfaction from dragging someone else through the mud.
