Best Pearl Jam 'Find" ?

edited April 2009 in The Porch
What is your best Pearl Jam score?

I got a YIELD on vinyl in very, very clean condition for FREE with purchase of any other vinyl in the store!!! Only downside was that there is an ugly FREE WITH PURCHASE sticker on the front cover...

Sounds awesome though!

My best find includes Yield on vinyl as well. Stopped by a mom & pop record store in my hometown about 5 years ago and inquired about the Yield LP. The owner somehow ordered it, I guess from a friend's shop, and a few days later it was mine for about $15.

Debbie Downer alert... the man who ordered the record for me decided to close down his shop a month ago, due to internet downloads, big chains, etc. I stopped in after I heard the news, and talked with him for bit. Anywho.. the guy ended up having a heart attack and dying, in his store no less, a week after I spoke with him. I know this is really random to mention this here, but I will always remember him for his kindness, and for helping me score that Yield record. I have ITW and Lost Dogs on vinyl, but Yield will always be the most valuable PJ record I own.

stole a signed eddie tshirt from an ex, who had crumpled it up and strewn about in the back of her mercedes truck for about a month... she did that just to piss me off cause she knew how much i loved pj...she even threatened me with legal action 8 years later because she wanted it back... but i gave her the best piece of a$$ she ever got, no harm no foul
it's largely due to eddie that i liked to jump off of things as a child...

I've never really found anything that cool. Sadly, I think the only cool PJ surprise I've ever found was a tshirt. It has the Cincy 06 poster on it.

That's why I said it was a sign that served no purpose. It was a yield sign for the side of the road. No pavement, just a little expanded shoulder area. And the sign was for getting onto this area, not back onto the main road.

not really a "find" but a gift...

few friends bought me that soldier field show on vinyl 12 years ago for my bday... they bought it at zig zag records on staten island for $60, the three of em split it $20 each... it sat at that store for months... they asked me what i wanted and pointed to that...that thing goes for like $300 on ebay now, maybe even more

even so, it would have been mad funny if mayhem followed... as if that yield sign were just the very object that held the fabric of the universe together... like the zipper to the space time contium :ugeek:

  • Not a PJ find per se but looking through old books at my Grandma's house a few years back I came across her copy of the "Vitalogy" medical book. That was pretty cool.

If that red button on that site were a different color, it would be.

Not a Pearl Jam find, but an Eddie find. About ten years ago I was in a record store in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and I found the Eddie Vedder - The Doors Complete Rehearsals CD. Being a Doors fan and an Eddie fanatic, I knew I had to have it. Can't remember how much I paid, but it was my vacation treat. Very hot picture of Jim & Eddie included.

I've got yield sign too, 3 years of takin in the process. And no it wasn't in use. It first appeared behind a dumpster, was moved down below a bridge, then 3 years later finally recovered after surviving about 2 floods. Best sign ever!
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

To accompany those other Yield vinyl finders, I picked up one from a record store for a cool $9.99. The vinyl played cleanly, and the cover had minor wear on the edges. At the same store, I picked up two brand-new 2000 European tour boots for $7.99 a piece.
