I found both the shows to download from bootlegs.org, which is the one everyone refers to?
Thanks anyways, I'm all the way in Australia, appreciate the offer :)

I have this concert in a 3 cd box set titled "Dissident" that was released in the 90's. I was in high school when it came out and I begged my parents to buy it for me. It was the first live concert I ever owned of Pearl Jam.

Does anyone have a complete copy of the Solider Field 1995 show??

Get on it! That's a brilliant show. You're doing yourself a disservice by not listening to it.

P.S. Stop stealing my stolen avatar. ;)

Hey I didn't steal anything, it was suggested on this very site for an avatar and I was too lazy to use a picture of my own :geek:

That said I'll listen to it this weekend.

I have the soldier field! It's not QUITE as rockin' as Atlanta, but for sure has some nice moments. It's one of the first times I heard them do "Let My Love Open the Door"... very nice!

Got anything you want to trade for a copy?

The people that think I'm too hard on Matt or think Dave A was not a good drummer or don't understand what I'm talking about when I say I wish the band would groove more like they used to on the next album... those people need to listen to this show. Specifically, listen to Porch from that show. The band simply cannot and does not jam like that anymore. It's jaw-dropping.

The show was broadcast over the radio across the country, I remember I was a 18 year high school Senior and driving around that night listening to the concert on the radio. Three years later in 1997 I found the bootleg while on vacation in a great record shop in St.Petersburg Florida, I hope that record shop is still there as I would love to go back. I bought about 4 Bootlegs, each one better than the next.

I've been lucky enough to attend some great Pearl Jam shows over the years (Randall's Island '96, MSG '98, Seattle '00), Atlanta '94 blows them all away.

This show WAS PJ. This show IS PJ.
I learned every nuance of this show when I was in college, as it was played on the radio a few times. I wore out the tape. You have to own it.

I don't recall which date though...

If I could figure a way to save up $1k and go back in time to see the show, I would. I listened to it recently, and I had forgotten how abso-fucking-lutely this band ruled back then.

the porch from this show is also amazing.... as is the WMA with doug wimbush (sp?) from king's X... and the why go/deep combo is stellar.... hmmm... are there ANY weak tracks on this boot?

It's a prerequisite to become a Pearl Jam fan. They test you on these two shows before you can declare your alliance to this band.

It's true! It's like asking a Grateful Dead fan if they've ever heard 7/8/78. If they haven't heard it, they're not a fan. :D

Same here. I'll never forget rushing to bus all the tables at the restaurant I worked at in time to get home to hear the first song. Between the great show and Ed's post-show radio DJing, that night cemented my fanaticism.

You are right, the WMA from this show rules. Def the best version IMO. Also, I have a great bootleg of this show including all the songs Vedder spun when he played DJ after the show. ;)

April 3, 1994. My first Pearl Jam show. 8-)

I was just thinking about today being the anniversary of this show. Already a HUGE fan before, but that show took it to a whole new level. It was, dare I say, religious. I feel like the luckiest fucker in the world to have scored tickets to this show. What a way to pop your Pearl Jam cherry! :)

If you haven't heard this bootleg, you owe it to yourself to find it -- TODAY! It's such a great audio snapshot of the band at the height of their popularity and completely on top of their game -- so much energy and intensity. The Who had Live at Leeds and Pearl Jam have Atlanta '94.
