Well...I am glad this thread came about so I can finally share my hilariously embarassing, but constructive elevatore story...
I met my girlfriend by flying out of state to meet her and the plan was to go to an Incubus concert with her best friend. Just the three of us. So I get there, everything is great, we hit it off just perfect and it went just as I planned. So before we go to the concert we decide to lock ourselves in the hotel room, drink our asses off and take a cab to the show. I drank a bottle of Crown Royal to myself. Bad idea...needless to say, I was floored drunk. We got to the concert and her friend continued to drink at the bar which ended up in us having to leave into the first song of the concert...I was well wasted myself, but a bit of vomiting would've made me feel much better.
We're sitting outside the venue on the steps, waiting for a cab...it gets there and we're back to the hotel in no time (drunken perception of time). By now, Jennifer (my girlfriend) is quite upset at us, but she has a job to do and that's take care of this slight stranger whom she probably thought WAS attractive and charming until he became drunk, and her best friend who was incapable of using her own body.
The reason I'm posting this story is because on the elevator ride back up to the room, I blew chunks that I never though could be blown by any human...ever. It was so bad that the Holiday Inn should've charged us for a complete scrub down of that thing.
The next morning, after countless apologies and wishes of havign actually seen the concert, Jennifer showed me the elevator. All I could say was "Wow, I didn't think I'd ever accomplish that."
We're still together and have been for over 2 years...

I find myself making eye contact, then looking away, starring at the metal door, looking at the numbers... ee! This morning some guy said something lame -- "you're the button pusher today." I did the awkward laugh and then starred at the door until he left.

i've never had any truly awkward siuations in an elevator. i ride one daily nowadays, almost 2 years now....32 floors. at most i've heard some conversations i wish i hadn't, but nothing big. making out and getting touchy in elevators is the best ...tho most definitely not on the work elevator.

Oh, so since this post has happened, I saw my ex the other day as well!!! We worked together at Target, thats how we met. Anyway, I didn't think she was working/still working at that Target. But Wednesday night I walked in, and she was up front talking to some people. Looked like she is working overnights.
Anyway, I don't know if she saw me, I would have nothing nice to say, so I didn't bother. Needless to say after I got what I needed I will admit I was a little scared to walk up to the front and pay for the items because I had no idea where she was, and I didn't want to run right into her.
She was still in the same spot as when I entered, and well I guess I can't go to my local Target right before close anymore!
Haha, reading a couple new posts actually reminded me of one kind of funny elevator story I've got.
I was at a tigers game with a friend, and right when we were walking by the elevator we saw Mario, one of the announcers, and my friend says to him 'Hey Rod baby how's it going?!' and slaps him on the back. [Rod is the color commenter] Regardless Mario seemed upset but didn't say anything haha....it became an ongoing joke that Mario is upset by how often he is overshadowed by Rod, haha.
