Tiger was great yesterday. The intimidation obviously took its toll on O'Hair.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

it will be interesting to see if he continues to think he his bigger than the game.

the player attitude of "bigger than the game" is what destroyed professional sports, for me.

coaches attitude of "bigger than the game" is what is killing college sports currently, for me.

I think most people who know golf would say he still hasn't surpassed Jack's greatness but it won't be long before he does.

Tiger is amazing, but you know how I feel about Ruth from our many conversations in the past. And Jordan and Russell won more titles but no one dominated basketball like Chamberlain. ;)

When all is said and done.....

I have a feeling Tiger will break all records held by Jack...

The way Tiger trains....and the dedication he has.....................

Tiger can probably stay #1 for a good 10 more years....and still be winning tournaments as he is approaching the age of 50......right????

The difference between Tiger Woods and everyone else is his mind. Golfers are the most mentally fragile people on the planet. If you ever want to see a grown man piss his pants on TV watch the final group on Sunday with Tiger Woods in it.

Tiger played well but O'Hern pissed his pants. If the guy shoots even par he wins by 2. Instead Tiger goes 3 under and O' Hern snatches defeat from the jaws of victory.

This guy works his ass off to be the best golfer in the world.

He's one of the most intense competitors around and hates losing and that shows by his win totals.

It took Tiger all of 10 minutes to make up 3 shots....hehehehe

it was funny to watch that kid go from one bunker to the next bunker.....hehehehehe

and i do like how the camera man always picked up Tiger standing, leaning on his club as the kid was taking his next shot or attempting to putt.

The kid should have worn a diaper..........heheheheheheh

The difference between Tiger Woods and everyone else is his mind.

    exactly.

golf is such an individualized sport, its easy to get caught up in the head games.
Tiger has such a Zen-like quality about him, such a calm.

and that has made him millions.
    Nice shirt.

It's amazing how great Tiger has performed when the pressure is on. One of the most clutch athletes ever.

indeed. you rarely, if ever see him sweat.

he truly was born to play the game.

He was trained to be that way from his father. Nothing gets to him on the course, ever. He just does his thing while the other guy falls apart worrying about what Tiger is going to do. I remember when Zack Johnson beat Tiger at the Masters, Johnson never once deviated from the plan he had all week even when Tiger way making his way up the leader board. Tiger is going to be Tiger but it's up to the other golfer to stay within his game and not over extend himself.

I agree with that comment Speedy unlike the lead singers of some bands.

Tiger may eventually surpass Jack's major record but will never approach the number of seconds Jack also took over the years. Either he wins or he has a poor outing and is not even in it. Yesterday was only the second time he was able to come from that far back on Sunday.

That is a good point. I mean Jack had 18 wins in the majors but 15 times came in 2nd. Woods has 14 wins and 5 runner ups.

Well, if he does do that he is the greatest. I think Jack only won 6 majors after he turned 33 which is Tiger's age now. If Tiger wins say 10-15 from this point of his career than without a doubt he is the greatest.

People who really follow golf will care. Tiger will never get more than 23 firsts. Plus Tigers competition is no where near what Jack had.

Tiger will eventually be considered the best golfer ever, unless he blows that knee out again.
