    But does an autograph worth : 140€ (10c price) + 45€ (UPS fees) - 109€ (price in a local store) = 76€ ????
And what are my chances to get one autographed? Approx 0!
And why 10c refused to cancelled my order when I asked them to 8 days ago?

They refused to cancel it on the 12th of March although it wasn't shipped until the 16th    ??????? Did you hear about possible brokerage fees before us others or were you aware of the possible VAT's like I was, but many others didn't, or was it when your local record store announced the price, you made the decision to cancel it from Ten Club?

Didn't they answer or give any reasons why it couldn't be cancelled ?

Where do you live and what's the name of your local record store that has it for 109€ :o ? My local has it for 146€ but they give 17€ back if you buy stuff over the value of 170€ in a year. It's basically almost 10% off.

As soon as the UK prices were announced I even told the Ozies to buy here (they don't pay import tax but shipping was cheaper).

And the custom tax is based on declared value PLUS postage. (don't blame 10c or UPS for that, that's the LAW)
So $150 if 10c declared $100 (there's no way they could get away with underdeclaring it under the allowance, which is $30 at best depending the exchange rate taken, considering the size. It would have only raised suspicions and triggered delays when customs opened stuff to check, request invoices, plus possible fines. plus it's illegal..Amazon got trashed in the early days of DVDs for doing it).
To the guys that said that UPS estimated the postage at £60, you could argue back with the invoice, but since 10c underdeclared the value anyway, it'd end up the same (VAT on $190).

I'm waiting to receive, probably tomorrow, my HMV UK ordered one: £99.99 (ie $144..not even out of my bank account yet) delivered
I'm sure it'll sound just as good.

You wrote that the limit is $30. If the value of the product plus shipping is under $30, you'll have no VAT added? That's your customs policy in the Great Britain?

In Finland we don't have to pay VAT's under 10€, so our limit is 45€ as our VAT for records is 22%. With today's exchange rate it's a bit over $60.

I think they Ten Club could have put a value of $60 without it being opened at the customs.

limit is £18 for just the product, above that you pay VAT on both product and shipping, whatever the cost of VAT.. which means if it's £2, you still pay it + the £8 fee from the post office :(
In fact it would be more like $25 they would have needed to write to get away with it... and even putting $100 is illegal, beside the fact that the value they write is the only one they can claim back for insurance from UPS should something happen to the package. Under-declaring can get them in trouble several ways.. you shouldn't really expect them to lie.

No I did not get any answer from the 10c about my request to have my order cancelled.
I asked them to coz' I thought shipping would take the habitual 4 weeks and on top of that it was far cheaper at my local store. Adding the approx 0% chance to get one signed, decision was easy to make. But I did not receive any response from them.
I live in France and you can find the SDE at the FNAC for 109€ : http://musique.fnac.com/a2630790/Pearl- ... &Nu=1&Fr=0

Woah! to all this. :o
I was about to order like right now but noticed this thread, I think I'll not order yet, might try my local store or Amazon.
Any Aussie fans get hit with this charge???? :?:
It would be another $100.00 AUD UPS charge which I cannot afford right now (my estimate based on the currency).
As I am away from home all day due to work, my mum who is home won't be able to pay this UPS guy money when he comes to deliver, especially when I don't know the exact fee until they tell you when they deliver, how can I then leave the right amount of money with my mum knowing they don't give change.
I could perhaps give them my work address but my 10c account address is set to my home address.
UPS are rubbish, the company I work for sometimes deals with them, and from experience they are a pain in the ass.

Having said all that, I am dissapointed it's all worked out this way for you jammers and that this has soured the excitement of the re-release.

As for my decision of purchasing I don't know what to do, I can't find a decent turntable and amp, all the amps they sell here are 5.1 channel made for modern surround sound and they don't have phono inputs for turntables.
Why would I spend extra money just for the Drop in the Park vinyl when I cannot find a f***ing turntable and amp here. Tried buying used but it's faulty, dammit!
F*** why couldn't they put the Drop in the park on cd too :(
