    Lukin!
A child's rhyme stuck in my head...
It said "Life is nothing but a dream."
I've spent so many years in question
To find I'd known this all along.

First all thank you to everyone for their input and congratulations. :):D

A few of you asked me to let you know what I song I ended up picking. Porch, Blood and Leash were all considerations but since my grandmother will be watching the webcast and I go to a pretty conservative southern medical school, I decided to go a little tamer. I'm Still Here is the song that got me through the worst parts of the last four years, but that was too tame. It ended up coming down to:

Given to Fly 0:54 to 1:48
Corduroy 0:25 to 1:40 ('the waiting drove me mad, you're finally here and I'm a mess' This is so appropriate for my state of mind right now.)
    Setting Forth 0:00 to 1:00

The winner was Given to Fly! :) Thanks again everyone!

screw a pj tune... id go with the "price is right" theme music... you need the person introducing you to scream, "COME ON DOWWWWN!!!"

How about the opening of Dissident? ...That would be cool.
  • my wife and i were introduced to our wedding guests with Given to Fly playing. started with the wedding party, and we walked down the stairs just as Eddie sings "f&#%ers..." not sure if anyone caught it due to their clapping and cheering, but i heard it. still makes me smile when i hear that song.

Ok, I actually thought about this on my way to work today, and I think the humming version of Guaranteed would be PERFECT.

wouldnt 'long road' be more appropriate for what is ahead???
  • From that list, I'd go with Rearview Mirror or YL. Reason: not too heavy/loud; you've got a very catchy melody that will appeal to a lot of people, which I think matters IF it's a important/serious event. If not, and it's an all-out party, I think any of your choices are good.

eehh, Long Road is a little somber for entrance music, IMO. Love the song though.

I understand, thought it was supposed to be sort of bakground music for your entrance, and to signify your long road ahead......probably a shit idea on my part!!!
