Junior is coming home!!!!!!!

I am way stoked about it too. Not only will he put asses in the seats, but I beleive he can help out in the clubhouse as well - sort of bringing it together. Not to mention that he can still be productive as an outfielder and DH.

Welcome home, Ken Griffey, Jr!!!!!

first good move of the season was getting rid of heilman, second good move was signing griffey jr. real curious to see where he plays cf or rf/dh

Maybe not, but the intangibles that he will bring to the team and region are immeasurable!! I am way stoked about it.

Junior to have a news press conference Saturday around noon from training camp in Peoria.

The M's look a little leaner this year. We got rid of a bunch of wasted space from last year. I am not thinking we will win the world series or anything (and, because of the time of year, i don't have to rule it out either yet :D), but I really just hope to be competitive. If our pitching line up can actually hold their own this year, and if our bats can come alive, and if the team can come together around the hopeful leadership of Ken Griffey, Jr., then we just may have a shot at something exciting this year.

They are talking about having him share the left field and DH positions. All depends on how The Kid feels.

Bedard needs to be healthy for them to have any sort of chance.

I'm guessing it'll be a month until Morrow is closing games. They've got no one else to do it ... I read a report that they wanted to give a shot to Miguel Batista to close ... REALLY? The back end of their bullpen is really lacking. (nice pickup on Aardsma, though)

I don't think the pitching will be the problem.
The only team in the AL that had a worse offense was Oakland and they picked up Holiday and Giambi.

I know he just he had a cyst removed from his shoulder. Says that was bothering him all last season, but didn't tell anyone til like mid-season. Maybe Bedard will turn into the pitcher he was supposed to be from the start. :?

I am not sure he is worth even Western Family and Van de Kamps and here you are asking for Jones Soda and Ivar's.

Alright...way to start off 2009 with a road win in Minnesota!!

And, Jr tied Hall of Famer Frank Robinson for the most Opening Day home runs in Major League history with 8!!!

Felix pitched real well even with a twisted ankle.

I have tickets for the May 16th game against the Red Sox. I want to pick up a few more games. Plus I am stoked for a lot of Tacoma Rainiers games. I always love it when Portland Beavers come to town.

Ahh, Morrow. Way to go. Oh well, only game 2. With 2 more in Minnesota. We can still win the 4-game series.
