    damn both good picks!

    Thank you all :)

Anyone, who were at Mansfield II will understand the tingly feeling you get when you hear the first couple of notes of WASH, opening the feast for you. I seriously went berserk when it happened that night and may I just say, it was one of the most stellar performances of that song EVER!

I was fortunate to hear WASH at the Gorge in July 2006. And yes, it was AWESOME!!
OMG! Yes, you're right. That was just out of this world too!

but have you ever been fortunate enought to hear "fortunate son?" :P
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

    Nice pick!

But the begs the question: where do we draw the line with non-PJ songs? Is everything fair game?

Yeah I said as long as they have played it live or on record its fine.

That means stuff like RITFW, COT, TYAAM etc are all fair game.

Another thought is we could make one cover mandatory. I was also thinking one slot could be used for a particular live song, for instance you would pick "Wash - The Gorge, July 22/06" or "All or None - The Vic, August 02/07" I don't know I am open to suggestion, let me know what you guys think. It also may be unfair to change it up too much now we have already starting picking.

Probably not good to change it up after we've started picking. But if you want to add a specific song live, you could alwyas make that mandatory with our last pick ... ? Just a thought.

This is a going a little slow. I think we need something to speed it up. maybe what we should do is put 2 or 3 picks up on the board at the same time. Then, whichever of those 3 people posts first, gets their pick first. That should make it go somewhat faster and I don't think it will make it too unfair. What do you think? At this rate we could still be drafting in April ... :D

yeah I was thinking about that too actually, if everyone thinks that is fair i dont mind. it is going kind of slow. it might make it more competitive as well. Yeah lets do it. Starting right now. coz like 1 or 2 picks a day is no good.

we will go 3 at a time from now on, when one of those 3 selects a song we go onto the next person in the draft order. It will encourage everyone to come online and check more, like i said people need to come check once every 12 hours or so.

Another option is, I am online a lot, if you guys don't think you're gonna be online a lot you can send me a list of 5 or 6 picks that you want, I'm really NOT concerned with stealing peoples picks because I already have my own list of what I want. So if you want to do that just shoot me a PM.

So now it basically works like this, you dont come online to pick quick enough, you risk losing your pick to someone else. You Snooze, You Lose.

    I'll take rearviewmirror!

Not really cool to change up the drafting rules in the middle of the draft, imho. At least not unless you made everyone aware of the rule change before putting it into effect. Sucks to be someone who falls way down the order because they couldn't be online one night/day.

I know, it really isnt but it was just going way too slow. I had to do something about it, look at how quick it is going now.
