I'm a bit disappointed with this "new" version. Maybe it's because I'm so used to the version that's been out there for 10+ years? :(

I loved it, and it sounded fucking great on the radio!!

The vocals and lyrics are different, and the music is pretty true to the other versions.

I love it because it MUCH MUCH clearer than the crappy bootleg I've been listening to for like 15 years.

Can't wait to get my Super Deluxe

I kind of agree. Not bitching but it's so not what I grew to love. Seems slower and the vocals are very different. But at least we got it!! I am still liking it though.

The slowness is what hit me as well. At least it'll probably be sped up when it's played live though, just like Even Flow, Given to Fly etc have

I have not heard it yet, but I liked the "old" versions of Wash and Alone than the Lost Dogs versions. I am hoping Brother is as good as the rough mix I have.

It just seems toned down to me. The lyrics are missing a little bit (not the words, but the delivery), the song is slower, etc. Kind of reminds me of what they did to Alone, Dirty Frank, etc on Lost Dogs.

Yeah, the delivery is definitely off from what I am used to.

That's why I was wondering if maybe it wasn't in fact a new vocal track. I know Ed was never happy with the original lyrics, so maybe this is his way of dancing around that issue

I thought the same thing. Sounds more like his vocals now versus back then in my view. Just glad to have it though.

Thank you much for posting the WAAF link; I finally heard the new version of Brother at 10 past the hour. I'm not sure what people are complaining about, I really enjoyed the new version - I think it fuckin' rocked! It is a bit slower than the older version w/ lyrics, but the stream from the radio was clear and the vocals, guitar mix, and bass/drums were spot on. The remix is great IMO. I hope everyone else who hears it soon (hopefully) enjoys it as well. Maybe it'll grow on some of you who are not digging it. Trust me, I'm not opposed to indicating when a song sucks.

I can't wait to get a higher-quality download of this gem! Please post when one becomes available to purchase/download somewhere! 24 Mar is too far away

it really amazes me...to each their own opinion...but there are so many complainers/ppl that love to complain when new goods/songs/albums are dropped...oh these editions are too pricey, these vocals aren't clear, this chorus sucks...wah wah wah cry babies
