It was quite the atmosphere and I'm workin' on a nasty hangover! Plenty of things that upset me with the Cubs yesterday. Bradley swinging at a 3-0 pitch with runners on 1st and 2nd is inexcuasable, whoever gave him a green light there should lose there job, that's baseball 101. Also why are we pinch hitting Aaron Miles when we have Haufpair. I'm not saying HP would have got the job done but he's a lot less likely to hit a weak grounder that ends up being a costly double play. Harden pitched a great game. If Koyie Hill hits a HR you probably should win. Bullpen piss poor job, you can't walk that many guys, ever. I still say Marmol should not be our closer. It's nice having that lock down guy to bring in, in a crucial situation in the 7th or 8th. I am saying we need some better than Gregg though. Man do I wish we still had Woody. I'll tip my hat to you Patrick on your teams win. Can't wait to get back there tonight to see Big Z!

First off, LOVED Reed Johnson's catch Sun. night, WOW, robbing a potential game tying grand slam, just unreal. Second, just got back from Opening Day today, nice to see them win the home opener for the first time in 3 years. Loved the fact that Sut threw out the first pitch to Jody Davis and that they both sang the stretch. It was especially great since I was wearing my Jody Davis jersey, one of my favorite Cubs growing up as a kid. Too bad Atkins had to poke one through in the 7th. Nice start to a hopefully good homestand.

agreed. Bruce has amazing potential and a great overall enthusiasm.
what is lacking though is leadership. a veteran or two for the younger
players to try to impress. the team hasn't been the same since Larkin left.
and we need some right- handed, middle of the line-up power,
