    I saw on facebook that my ex (we've been separated for 6 months) has a family portrait picture of her, her boyfriend, and my son... as her profile picture. And, she says she won't let me have him anymore. I've been taking care of him Friday night through Sunday night (every weekend) and most Wednesday nights.

    The anger is coursing through my veins. Tears are welling. I don't know what to do...

    Fathers' rights are basically non-existent... I have none.
    ya man...you have rights, you just have to pay a lawyer to exercise them :roll:
    There is probably a way to have your lawyer request his/her fee as part of the access claim. Might help pressure her into folding.
    She can't deny you access to your son without a legit reason. If she just wants to play house with her new bf, a judge will put her in her place right quick.
    And ya...unless you're a crackhead or abusive, no parent in their right mind would keep a kid from a healthy relationship with the other parent. Selfish.
    Good luck. This shit is super tough. :(

    Actually, I do have an attorney. I left a message with him about this but he said a few months ago that this could happen - which is why I'm filing for FULL CUSTODY. If she wants to play these games I can play them, too. And my dad has committed to paying anything it takes to get full custody. There is only an "agreement" not a court order so since she has primary custody (more than 60% of the time she takes care of him) she can withhold access... just because she wants to. Seriously, fathers have almost no rights... and no there is no reason to withhold access from me. I think I'm a pretty kick-ass dad.

    Chin up dude! I only wish my sons father had some of your desire to parent and the willingness to fight to be part of his life. Hope everything works out the best for you and your son.

    Was driving to do a home visit, got a bit zoned out, realised I couldn't remember the last mile or so, then realised I had forgotten to make a turn, rounded a corner and ended up in a herd of sheep. Not a good trip.

    Actually, that would be a flock of sheep. Better than a band of gorillas! Or a surfeit of skunks!

    Aww, sorry Sian :cry: Hugs to you. You can still get a card and lay it at his grave if you feel up to it. Again, {{{hugs}}}

    Thanks Selena. I'm going to his grave on Sunday to lay flowers and his card. My Dad always made such a fuss of getting presents on father's day... I used to really love this time of year. I guess I always knew the first one after he passed would be the hardest.

    It can't be helped though, the guy at work hasn't been here long, didn't know and just asked to be polite... I actually felt quite sorry for him.

    Stupid dream about someone who is dead and who caused a lot of problems and heartache for me when he was here. In the dream he was alive and told me that it was all set up and faked. ANd then wanted me to start life up with him again as if nothing had happened. Stupid stupid dreams, wish they would go away and just stop. :evil:
