Two really awesome things made my day today! I was at the deli in the local grocery store and the cute 20 year old behind the counter gave me a nice compliment on my My Morning Jacket tee! She said she was really into them right now! We chatted for a bit and then I went about my day! (Not many people even know who my morning jacket is let alone love them) The other thing that made my day was I found a record player on the side of the road left over from a yard sale for free a month ago. Today I hooked that bitch up and am rocking out all of my holiday singles I have been collecting and never listened to. Man they sound good.

It's funny how some stranger can make a persons day just by a little compliment. Thanks :)

I just got an email from the sales rep of a watch company saying they were going to be late for our breakfast meeting.

I thought that was pretty funny. Of anyone - I expected the watch people to be on time.:lol:

I'm wearing a striped shirt, a vest, and tannish pants, and when I exited the coffee shop, what should I see in front of me but a very attractive man with a striped shirt, a vest, and tan pants. I wanted to ask him to marry me, but he was on the phone.

Paying for my flight to Boston with spare change.

Booked a flight today for $112. Went to TD Bank and used their coin counting machine and dumped in my two large jars of spare change and the total was $117.45.

Sian-of-the-Dead's picture of her and her dad.

Thank you. That picture makes me smile everyday :)

    What made my day:

Recieving condolences in the form of a card from Canada... it meant so much to me. Thank you Selena, you're one in a million.

Talking to my Mum and hearing her genuinely laugh again.

Hearing a song from my childhood played on the radio when I was least expecting it. It was an emotional but happy surprise.

Deciding to do a 30 mile bike ride next month in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

Deciding to donate monthly to the charity Sustrans.

    Finally deciding to give blood.

Being told that i'm like my Dad in every way except looks... that made me smile so much.

    * Dinner with our best friends last night and photos this morning of their kids all wrapped up warm in the park.
    * Support, patience and love on my hardest day so far. Thank you Dave, I love you beyond words.
    * Friends at work understanding and helping me through the pain I'm suffering daily.
