    cb i did a defrag, says it's all good


    okay i just went into my norton antivirus, says the following options are on:

    auto-protect
    protection updates (up-to-date)
    automatic liveupdate

    web browsing
    intrennet work protection
    spyware protection

    email & messaging
    outgoing email scanning

    doesn't look i have anti-spam after all, sorry for that goof! should i try turning off the 'outgoing email scanning'?
    sure....if it doesn't work you can always go back and enable it without any harm done

    thanks dear! well i tried the system restore and it wouldn't work, i picked every date this month prior to it going haywire, even into last month! i'm gonna try to uninstall the entire earthlink software and reinstall it again. if you hear a scream from northern cali, you'll know how it's going :p haha

    i uninstalled the entire earthlink shebang on my computer, reinstalled it, and AS it was reinstalling...when registering components, this popped up

    could this be a clue as to what's going on? what the hell is an INF lol

    oh fuck and now mark goes to bed.....:mad:....;)......the only thing i can think of is to uninstall totalaccess, do a defrag and then reinstall....:o

    i know, the nerve of him....insisting on sleeping :mad: hahaha

    okay, i'll try that again lol if it doesn't work then i think i'm gonna give up for the evening and retire to the ol' rack and see what happens tomorrow! thanks again for the help :)

    it worked!

    i lost the old emails i had, but it works now! uninstalled the whole earthlink thing again, did a defrag, restarted, and then installed again....seems to be fine now. thanks again for your guys' help, you rock :D

    holy shit i was right?!?!?!......;):D......glad to hear it chiqui.......i betcha you had a corrupt email and that's why it works now......:)
