I know what you mean. Can you imagine what this mother was like in High School, and what values she has transmitted to her kids? It is bad enough when kids do this to each other, but this is just bullying of the worst kind.

there are TONS of cases of people who say they are one thing and they are not. i was watching another story about a 12 year old girl who was murdered by a 48 year old man she met on the internet... she thought he was a 14 year old boy.

i read another case of a married woman who was having an online affair with a man and things got serious enough that she was going to leave her husband.. so they decide to meet.. he comes to her house.. cept he is actually a she. and they had been having a lesbian love affair i guess.. i know there was more to this story.. i think she ended up dead.

we have become a world of cynics, non believers and what makes me so sad is people have taken away my trust..

It really is horrible. It's bad enough when kids do it to each other...seems like a lot of people are using the internet to bully...i've seen it happen to a lot of the students I work with. This mother obviously has a lot of issues. I read that the mother's daughter and the girl who killed herself had been friends and then had some kind of conflict. So bizarre that the mother would do this to try to get some kind of revenge.

I know it shouldn't... but that made me laugh not the story but the way you worded the end of it

you shared those with me right before I met zoso:p Freaked me out...but was good too...need to realize this stuff DOES happen a lot.

I told you about the girl that had the online/phone relationship with a guy for 2 years...only to find out it was a guy in his 40's posing as his nephew. That was right before I met zoso too and I remember thinking it was crazy that someone could ever have a relationship with someone they met online.

The internet can be a great place to meet people and form relationships that are real...but it can also be dangerous. You gotta take the good with the bad, but sometimes it's hard to weed it all out.
