I think i've missed about the last 30 pages of this thread (altho you guys do liberally use the quote feature ), so maybe it's been addressed....but I was wondering.....do the brewers scare you, even a little? they seem to be gelling...

Jack Chesbro has the record, 48 in 1904 (and 41 wins) for the NY Highlanders. But he blew the pennant to the Boston Pilgrims on the last day of the season, I believe.

Halladay would get 15-20 CG's a year if they let him. Few games a year they're blowing the other team out and they take him out after 7 just because. And he still gets 7-10 a year.

Just ordered it from amazon. Can't fit that shit in either of our cars anyway. Forgot about the glider - somebody got that for the shower. Is john kruk really getting inducted into the phils wall of fame tonight? the guy only played here for 5.5 seasons. I know the team's history is brutal, but this is pretty weak IMO.

I think you said it yourself, the team's history is weak. And besides, that '93 season was magical. It was so much fun to watch. And yet, it was painful to watch. There were so many come from behind wins, they were never out of a game. And some of them were down right ugly wins, but hell, it's a long season, they all can't be pretty.
