The trading away of Lee was the only outrageously bad deal in that list. The fact that they later signed him has nothing to do with how horrible the trade was to start with.
As Fixer will happily point out, RAJ has signed some players to dubious contracts. (Baez, Blanton, 3rd year for Ibanez) But as for making trades he has been top notch.
I dont know about happily. The polanco deal is barely half over. That one has potential to end badly as well (though it is much better than figgins, who was the other option at the time).
I think there is one other contract missing from your list
Overall amaro has done a pretty good fucking job. I will always believe that the Lee to Seattle trade was ownership's doing. Amaro's hands were tied0 -

Cool. I keep getting fucked on the Division Series. Last year I had Game 5 as well. Then they sold me Game 7 of the NLCS to make up for it.
Game 6 of WS is probably better than Game 7 simply because there's a better chance of it being played. But it would be incredible to be at a World Series Game 7.Spectrum 10/27/09; New Orleans JazzFest 5/1/10; Made in America 9/2/12; Phila, PA 10/21/13; Phila, PA 10/22/13; Baltimore Arena 10/27/13; Phila, PA 4/28/16; Phila, PA 4/29/16; Fenway Park 8/7/16; Fenway Park 9/2/18; Asbury Park 9/18/21; Camden 9/14/22; Las Vegas 5/16/24; Las Vegas 5/18/24; Phila, PA 9/7/24; Phila, PA 9/9/24; Baltimore Arena 9/12/24; Pittsburgh 5/16/25; Pittsburgh 5/18/25

Yeah, that sucks man. The way I look at it is that it will cost me less to buy game 6 tix on stubhub than it will to buy game 7. hopefully my football gambling season goes well again this year (that's how I have funded my playoff tix the last 3 years).

tuscan region. one of wife's good friends is getting married. her family rented out some villa for the entire weekend. we were going to hit london on our way back, but then we realized my seed is potent so we're only going for the week.
only thing I'm worried about is the language barrier. I've never been to europe. I have heard that everyone speaks english, but I will believe that when I see it0 -

Not everyone speaks English, but most speak at least a little bit. Toscana is pretty touristy so you'll be fine. You will have a spectacular time. Try to go to a town called Montepulciano. Most beautiful place I've ever seen. Get ready to drink tons of vino.
My wife can speak a little German, so we're pretty good where people speak Italian or German. We've been to French-speaking places and it gets a little sketchy.Spectrum 10/27/09; New Orleans JazzFest 5/1/10; Made in America 9/2/12; Phila, PA 10/21/13; Phila, PA 10/22/13; Baltimore Arena 10/27/13; Phila, PA 4/28/16; Phila, PA 4/29/16; Fenway Park 8/7/16; Fenway Park 9/2/18; Asbury Park 9/18/21; Camden 9/14/22; Las Vegas 5/16/24; Las Vegas 5/18/24; Phila, PA 9/7/24; Phila, PA 9/9/24; Baltimore Arena 9/12/24; Pittsburgh 5/16/25; Pittsburgh 5/18/25

My wife has been to europe a bunch of times for work. She doesn't speak anything other than english and she said she's never had an issue.
thanks for the tips. We fly into rome and then have a 2 hour drive I believe. That should be pretty cool. Do they drive on right side of road? last night there we are staying right in rome. I'm looking forward to that.

Yes, right side. They drive fast. Although I heard something about a new nationwide camera system to enforce speed limits, which really sucks. Been a couple years since I've been there.
They do NOT coast in the left lane. Don't get in the left lane unless you're passing, and do your pass quickly. If you're gonna get in the left lane and you see someone approaching in your mirror, just wait for them to pass and then get in the left lane. Don't even THINK about passing on the right, especially a truck. I found most drivers there are much better than here. Being an aggressive driver is helpful when you get there. pence just looks like an old school baseball player. love the high stirrups. should be a rule in mlb that they should not be allowed to wear their pants falling off their fucking cleats. i hate that shit.
the guy can flat-out play. i'll be rooting for him & oswalt (and Berkman...even though he went to the f'n Cardinals  ) as long as they're in the bigs.I LOVE MUSIC.

good to hear about the driving. I will be fine with that. sounds refreshing. I never understood why keep right pass left is such a hard concept for people here to master (especially in PA)0 -

I really hope he gets his first HR before the alternative. That could be the one thing that would really put a damper on the trade0 -

Speaking of Pence, I was bummed to see that the trade wasn't reflected in today's latest MLB The Show roster update.
