Rosemary's Baby in 35mm. First rewatch in probably five years. Forgot how utterly arresting it is.

Good mixture of making music and the depressed main character in the time frame of the film story.

The old story delivered enough positive stuff for 14X minutes in the cinema. It’s alive but the real nonsense is different - and has to do with death (and a green comic book character) and is stupidly made clear within the first minutes. I was better hooked by the Bride trailer showed before.

    + Black Phone 2
The phone itself is horror junk and the fatal combination of too many supernatural details led to my disbelieve.

For those who go to Regal, they are giving away Mystery Merch bags this weekend. No charge, just need to go to concessions and show your ticket.  Snagged 2 today.  It makes me feel better since I struck out on an XL PJ Mystery Bag this week.  Kind of. Almost. Not at all...

^Oooh. I’ve seen this and don’t know anyone who has. I’m a sucker for cosmic horror and From Beyond nasty practical effects. This one was dark. For all of the previously mentioned, I “enjoyed” it.

    Thoughts?

I thought the end was bananas, and not in a good way, lol.
Agree. Shit. And I don't trust that director.
So we are four, lol..i was hoping for Lovecraftian movie but it was bad imo..the acting was horrible..

Great movie. Goonies-esque in vibe, but not as boring YES I SAID IT:

Dusk to dawn horror marathon at my local theater. 9PM - 5AM. Friday Part III was shown in 3D which played really well with the crowd. Fun night.

Saw this in the theater as a little kid. I was enthralled by geodes ever since. Enjoyed it when I was little. But The Goonies is not boring. 😜

Took my daughter tonight. Had never seen it! Coraline is her favorite movie, so she was excited to see this.

    A lot of fun!
