Back to the movie topic....here's one that I will suggest NEVER seeing: This Is 40. What a terrible movie. Too long and not nearly as funny as I hoped for with Judd Apatow.

    parts of it were funny.....

the whole Tom Petty reference made me laugh like crazy.

Was looking for some mindless humor on netflix the other night and settled on "The Switch"

Kinda funny. Jason Bateman and Jennigfer Aniston. He switches his pud with her sperm donor and they have a kid but she doesnt know he's the father.

Watched 21 Jump Street on Friday night. Much better than I expected.

Watched Ted last night. Disappointed in that one. Seeing Sam Jones was a plus though.

Yeah, I had high expectations and was let down. I laughed a few times, but it was just silly. I guess that was the point though.

The pot smoking, foul mouthed teddy bear concept got old pretty quickly. Just not my thing.

    Looper.

Really enjoyed it! They really did a good job of fitting a complicated story where a lot happens into a very coherent and smooth movie, and didn't leave too many plot holes. Most time travel movies do a poor job of that. Also, they did such a great job with the make up to make Bruce Willis and John what's his name look alike. It kind of tripped me out. Most importantly, I was thoroughly entertained. Not an absolutely stunning work of art maybe, but interesting.... VERY bleak outlook on America's short-term future though! Yikes!

We watched those last weekend. I thought the first one in the trilogy was the best, the one in the middle the weakest.

End of Watch - really well done. It didn't feel like a movie at all; shot more like a documentary.

    Brave. Animation was incredible.

Ps - I was the one who said silver linings was decent movie bit didn't see what all the hype was about. Acting was good but nothing new to me.
