What about the other 2 guys per team pushing and punching in the corner?

You can call all of them... or you could call the major offenders and the guy who jumps from his skates, grabs a player around the neck and pulls him to the ice... last time I checked they were playing hockey and not Professional Cattle Roping on Ice.

Anyone think if we had the same officials for a whole series this mess would be any better ?

At least the officiating would be more consistent and they would know the players and their tendancies and everything
Nope. Almost every game of every series has been reffed poorly so far.

So they didn't call Begin's wrastlin. Hardly the only blown obvious call.

yes and no.... they would call the game tight early and try to dispel anything that would break out but the players would know what to expect and what was and was not a penalty.

Now you have officials just coming in with an advance report of what occurred between who and looking for certain things.... and players having no idea what to expect.

HaHa !! Gotta Love it !

From Roy MacGregor, national sports columnist for the Toronto Globe and Mail: "There was no need of the scoreboard announcer welcoming 'the most intimidating fans in hockey' to the Wachovia Center. They know who they are - a crowd that would have made the lions wet themselves in Nero's Rome."

    LET'S GO FLYERS !!!

Awesome. I may be a part of that crowd tonight. Keeping my fingers crossed that I get the phone call this morning.

I'd rather see Knuble in the line up than Downie any day of the week.

Of course when I committed to the tickets I didn't know the schedule of the Flyers Playoff Games !

Knuble is hell to move in front of the net

Wanted the Moyer bobblehead huh??? :)

I'm sure they'll show the score on the scoreboard... I was there last week for the Mets game on Sunday night and they kept flashing up the score of the Sixers/Pistons game.... or you could just sit in McFaddens and watch the Flyers game.

Our PP is non-existent. If I was the Flyers I wouldn't worry about taking penalties either ;)

Yeah that's the giveaway.. hopefully I'll pick up a few from my buddy who works down at the park, so I can sell them on EBay ;)

If I was a Habs fan, I would be worried about Price. Just from his comments the last few days (as well as his play), he just seems too nonchalent and unfocused on HIS play. He's made comments like "we outplayed them for 2 periods" and "the score would have been 8-4 if we would have buried our chances"... seems like he's looking more at the guys in front of him to step up and make up for his lacklusted play then taking responsibility for his weak play as of late and working to correct it. If I'm Guy, I think I almost have to start Halak, but that may screw Price up for awhile (being 20 and all).

You're right and you're wrong. Price is ALWAYS non-chalant in appearance in both his interviews and his play, even when he's hot. His quote from today puts the blame squarely on his own shoulders...
""It's the NHL playoffs, I'm 20 years old, I'm finding it out the hard way that playoffs aren't easy," Price shrugged. "It's better to find out now than it is to find out at 30.""

But yeah, the Habs fans are worried about his play, and rightly so. There's no way he isn't thinking about working harder and playing better, but that doesn't mean it is going to work out that way.

I'll take your word for it and I do remember alot of talk about his non chalant style but still quotes like this are scary... almost like he feels they deserve to win no matter what... "The last series, things went great. Things went sour. We came out on top. It's kind of the exact same thing, only we're playing better than the last series."
