There is a unique and cool cemetary located in a local town. There is only one man buried on this lot, but the figures are of real people in his family. Unfortunately, there has been so much vandalism over the years that the pieces are in bad shape.
I love old cemeteries. When I was in school we went on a field trip to a really cool one. I remember 2 things, Some guys leg was buried half way up a tree (i'm not sure of the logistics but this was one of the reasons the graveyard was well known)
I also remember the words on a childs grave
'I see a hand you cannot see which beckons me away
I here a voice you cannot hear which says I must not stay'
I was only about 9 and for some reason these have stuck with me....
he was the first gov of California under Mexican rule...I think he was the ONLY one...he was cursed for selling out the other Californios to the Americans. I think it might be a result of that. Cursed soul and all.
I am sensitive to stuff too - I can totally empathize with you - it sucks. heart hurts, and you get dizzy nauseous...and prickly.
IT WAS!
i went back to the mission on sunday with my parents and sis, she wanted to take some pics of the church, and i wanted to see if i would have the same reaction as i did when i was younger. sure enough i did....same nauseous feeling. so bizarre.
and i went back to the grave and stood there as long as i could take it, and saw that it was indeed arguello. that is *very* interesting about the curse, i looked all over the web later that day to see what his deal was and couldn't find any other info.
This is in an old cemetary in Howell, Michigan. It's weird because it's in the middle of this awesome park with a beach and a playground for kids.
I walking the dogs through this park with my sister and her friend when we saw this building...
The door was sticking slightly open, but my sister and her friend were too afraid to go look in it lol. So I went and looked and there were these two huge marble doors inside...
Unfortunately that's the only photo that showed up well, but through the window there was a shelf with 4 or 5 urns on it and one of them had tipped, all the 'cremains' were spilling out. It was horrible. Apparently this place is an old crematorium.
Not scary...but still a cemetary story
"The customer...is always...an ASSHOLE"
"The world fascinates me."
"Doesn't mean that much to me, to mean that much to you"
It was horrible.
I don't think anyone broke in though. The gate/door thing on the outside was only open about half a foot...not really big enough for anyone to get into. And even if they could, there wouldn't be enough room to open the marble doors on the inside.
I think that makes it even worse. If this place really was a crematorium, that would mean that those urns were unclaimed.

the urn was tipped over by what is on the inside of the fuckin thing
the ashes wanted out
and they got their wish
I got accused of burning one down once... true story It was in the paper and everything
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...
... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
No but they did apologise when we kicked up a fuss and proved it wasn't us

thats horrible about the spilled remains. ya gotta wonder if someone broke in and did it purposefully.

Not a cemetary story, but I set the lawn in front my high school on fire way back in the day...grade 11 I think. Good times!
