I would have rather helped out a friend with that money.

You can't always get EVERY thing you want in life and for me, this is one of them right now. Could I bitch and moan about it? Yeah. Its to bad. I'm more upset about the fact I haven't seen PJ live in over two years than not being able to pre-order this thing. I'll have it some day, until then who gives a shit. Bigger and more important things to be concerned with right now.

    Who the hell would buy this and then complain about the price and how they wished they would have used that money more wisely???     I know it's friday but come on. I didn't bitch about buying that "10 POUND BAG OF ROBIN HOOD FLOUR" at Sobeys this afternoon, where i could of saved 3 bucks at superstore (hearing the ad over the radio).I could of returned it, but i'm so fucking tired from work. Should i start a thread on that? Hell no!

    There are a couple of anomalies I see with this. First being... A Pearl Jam pre-sale and the recession. Is one related to the other? And if the shipping is going out in March... why not just wait til March to order it? There will be tons of copies available... you can still get one, without the pre-sale, right? And is the economy going to be better in March? I don't know... it may be worse, depending upon what happens with the auto makers.
    And if you would have rather helped out a friend... why didn't you? Do you really NEED this set that bad... to forsake your friends?

    And before you get down on me... I bought 2 copies. One for me and one for a friend. A friend who has to go under a general anaesthesia for a tissue sample to find whether or not she has cancer. I'm just hoping she is around in March to accept this offering. And if one of them is autographed... she's getting it.
    And finally... haven't you ever heard of the things this band and their fans have done to benefit other people? Hell... just look at Mike alone and see what he's done just this year. That probabaly more than most bands have done in their career.
    So, instead of worrying about what others shoud donate... maybe you could become an example and do what what you expect everyone else to do. If you can afford to drop 140 bucks on a record... surely, you can help out a friend, right?

    I do the same exact thing... it's a 'Music Account'. I like to keep it funded as a seperate account in case there is a concert or special offer that pops up. I cut back on a lot of other stuff... (like anyone that knows me, knows I don't spend too much on clothes and crap). I also have an emergency account to cover those costs and if that isn't enough to cover the emergency... I have this reserved account I can throw at it. If the combinded amount isn't enough... I'm screwed.

    I dropped the $140. I'm just a bit upset that they charged it now (3 months away) than doing it when it was shipping, like they said they would.

    All the pre-sales I ever participated before, charged me when the item was actually shipped. So, yeah, that part IS actually bullshit. And that's why I am having to wait for another month before I can drop the money for the super-duper-rip-you-off version.
