    the economy is shitty and everyone knows that buying this is each individual's choice, and if they can't afford it then they shouldn't scrape from here and there to get it and even if they do it's not your business, worry about your own money.
    What's the difference in between doing the pre-sale now or on January? The economy is going be better next month? I don't think so.
    The pre-sale is still going on and whoever wants to wait until after Xmas they can do so, those who don't want to wait then it's their choice, your argument that the economy is bad for many people and 10C shouldn't have released this now makes no sense!!!

    It's also good to note that no one has to pre order it as it will be released NATIONALLY (aka everywhere in the US) on March 24. This is not a limited item so if the funds aren't there now or in Jan, or in Feb it will be available in March. Some rumors are going around that this pre-sale for the Super Deluxe Set is only available through 10C, yet there was an early link on Amazon and it is currently available for pre-sale from other online merchants for about $200. The only advantage to ordering it through 10C is a chance for it to be autographed.

    I agree, I think there is nothing that supports the rumors that this Box set will be available only through the 10C, the announcement would have said so, that this was a 10C exclusive item and it didn't so there is no reason to believe this Box Set will not be released on March 24th with the other options as well.
    I just don't understand the bitchin' I would totally understand the bitchin' if this was a limited offer, or if they had not offered much cheaper options as well, but that isn't the case, this isn't a limited offer and there are other options for those people that would much rather spend less and use their money on something else.

    Items only have what power you give them!!!!! Simply don't buy it or whine about it if youdon't like the price!!!! The presale outside of 10Club is $200 + S&H without the chance of recieving a signed one!!!

    You will also have an option to buy whichever version you want if any that are much lower. I am personally tired of hearing people bitch about the price of this constantly....Just don't buy one and move on.... Yes times are tight.....Yes it is right before the holiday season....but everyone has a choice.

    The box set is a luxury. Let's keep that in mind as we freak out about the price. PJ did a pretty good job of making the album accessible to people no matter their economic situation, what with all of the different versions. Let's also keep in mind that, though some people may not want to believe it, the band puts out albums and merchandise because it's their job. Should we next ask them to stop touring? Because let's face it, concerts are a luxury as well. I don't think it makes too much sense to ask the band to stop doing their job just because we are in tough economic times.

    not really sure what the point of this thread is... but to say 10C shouldve held off til later with this presale makes alot of assumptions about how the 10C plans on using these next 3-4 months... maybe it takes that much time to get all this stuff properly together and SIGNED by the band... im sure theres alot more to it than we understand

    as far as the economy... like others have already said its not gonna miraculously get better next month so theres no point in delaying the presale for that reason... i think the people that would've bought this package 8 years ago in better economic times will find the $ to buy it now if they really want it... $140's not a huge amount in the grand scheme of things... though i guess im too privilaged and free of responsibility to really say

    thanks... just figured out how to do that... its really too large of a picture right now though... i was hoping for something thinner and less annoying... ill have to play around with it later when i have more time

    Seems plenty of people are willing to drop the cash for this, so hell, more power to 'em.

    You're acting as if we're all being FORCED to buy this thing - my previous advice still stands (which was a general statement), if you can't afford it then don't bloody buy it. This thing isn't going anywhere, buy it six months or six years from now if you still want it - it makes zero difference.

    And for the record, no - I don't live with "Mom and Dad". I have a wife, a baby on the way and a mortgage but happen to have enough control over my finances that I can afford it so I bought it. If I couldn't, I wouldn't have (and I wouldn't waste my breath complaining about it).

    As you say business is business, what better way to gauge how many units to press, than to sell it to the die hard fans 3 months before it's release. If it flys off the self, up the number pressed. If sales are slow, then produce less. Probably won't be manufactured until a month before release, so cash from the pre-sale will finance this also.

    I'm tired of people complaing about the prices of the items 10cc is selling.
    $140 isn't much for this box. I haven't bought it yet, I'll wait until Janaury. I'm prettu sure pre-orders will still be possible at that time. Even maybe until february or March.

    The economy is maybe bad but not everyone is influenced by that. Maybe I'm lucky, but I don't have money problems and people aroun me neither. Maybe because the problems are worse in US than Europe ?
    I think, fortunately, many people don't really feel the bad economy.
    Anyway, what I wanted to say is that everyone may buy what he wants, when he wants. Buying this edition isn't an obligation.

    I don't understand your bitchin', I do have a job, but I'm not rushing to buy it, I know I will still have a chance to buy it, but I'd rather buy gifts for my family and friends and buy it afterwards, I still have 3 months to buy it before it comes out, and even if I don't buy it by then, I can buy it later on. We should be able to think first and see if we can afford it, if we can, cool buy it, if you can't or you want to use that money for something else then just restrain yourself, it's not pearl jam's fault you didn't think about that beforehand.
