Below is the article I just read. What a bitch. I hope someone knocks her lights out. and especially the part about "his dead, rotting carcus"


US church vows to picket Ledger memorial
An American church plans to picket memorials held for Australian actor Heath Ledger because he played a gay cowboy in the film Brokeback Mountain.

The Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kansas, says it will protest against any memorial held for Ledger in the United States because the 28-year-old actor supported homosexuals.

"I'm going to picket him in two places," parishioner Shirley Phelps told Sydney radio station 2Day FM.

"I'm going to stand outside of any public memorial service that he has here.

"And then the other place I'm going to picket him is when they prop him up to worship his dead, rotting carcass further at the Oscars. I'll be right outside by the red carpet."

It is understood Ledger's body will be returned to Perth, where his former school has offered to hold a memorial service.

The church has ruled out travelling to Australia for the funeral

    Louis Theroux did a show on this lot... they're fuckin mental! And they have all the young kids involved in hating! Oh, and I better stay away, as the Irish are supporters of gays, catholics, and muslims and jews apparently!

    Just so you know, this church group is put on the news all the time for stuff like this. They're not worth anyone's attention imo.

    right, this is the same bunch that protest soldiers' funerals. sick group. :mad:

    not sure what they think protesting any funeral service would accomplish. they are largely hated by pretty much the world. not winning over any supporters this way.

    disturbing is right.

    At least I am fairly sure the funeral will be in Australia, but any other service they may have over in the States will be a worry.

    I cant believe how low people will go, and the lack of respect that they show to not only poor Heath or soldiers but to the poor grieving families.

    What's wrong with these people, it's the same group who was on the news in Sweden a year ago for supporting a Swedish priest who was prosecuted for badmouthing homosexuals in public services (which is illegal here)....

    There was a hour long show on telly about them, insane people !!!!

    Aside from being outrageous assholes, who cares what the fuck they say? Any idiot can stand outside a funeral and shout obscenities (they're probably crazy). Freedom of speech.

    Aren't these folks different from the a church out of the east coast somwhere?

    Yeah anyone can shout obscenities, It is her crazy morals that we are questioning. I can scream out at the moment and wake my whole house up, but im not going to. She should keep her fuckin mouth shut the bitch (sorry for all the bad language but she is making me angry :mad: )
