My peeve with the production of the movie is the thousands of historic costumes that were destroyed. Truly, they emptied out the costume houses.
I love the Celine song.
I love Leo.
I love Kate.
I love San Dimas.
Jeanie, I would have still climbed out.
Glad I'm not your fella then love!!NOPE!!!

HaHa! That made me laugh. Kids would bring that song to my wife, so she could teach them it on the piano. After the kids left, I would have to put Motorhead on to purge that sound from my brain. To pie I will reply

You know I actually wanted to see it, went early thinking it would be awesome.
Aside from Schindler's List, it was THE MOST PAINFUL 3 hours I ever spent in a picture theatre!NOPE!!!

I must admit I'm very lucky to have performed in a spoof of it at the local theatre and it sits a whole lot better with me now if I remember our version of it! Otherwise it gets switched off pronto around here!! Actually having to hear the kiddies attempting to master it would be even more torturous so you have my complete sympathy but mostly it's Celine I can't tolerate! Yeah, perhaps if they'd drowned her and Leo together?
Oh and I agree, he was excellent in Gangs Of New York.NOPE!!!

imagine my pleasant surprise when for 3 hours a couple of years ago, the boy(who has never sat still for more than a minute since he was a bambino watching tellytubbies) sat and watched the entire movie without a peep.
admittedly it was more about the ship for him than anything else. he is still ship obsessed.hear my name

"Stay alive, I will come for you!!!"
Now that was a love story. Was it not 'stay alive, I WILL find you'? That line makes me melt every time
beautiful film.

pfft  twas yet another example of how the upper classes keep the lower classes down. poncing around in all their splendour, defying God(the insinkable ship) and then having to abandon their opulence in order to survive. i mean my God how gracious of Rose to even deign to speak to Jack, not to mention shag him in a car and risk her life for love. how 'amusing' her slumming was. *yawn*
beautiful film my arse. good special effects though.hear my name

Yea, you are probably right. I haven't seen the film in a while. I do think the film addresses the class/racial conflicts underlying the story. Nobody comes out of that story unscathed. To pie I will reply
