My mom always knows if I'm in trouble. She gets a weird feeling and tries to call me. It freaks me out sometimes.. about 4 years ago I was talking about this with somebody at work. We joked about it and I said jokingly I'd try to telepathically get her to call me at work. She NEVER calls me at work.. so I squint my eyes real hard and think about my mother and nothing else..

Less than thirty seconds later our work phone rings. My co-worker looks at me a little stunned. He picks it up and sure enough its my Mom. She had no reason to call. She was just checking on me. She thought something might be up.. To this day it really weirds me out.

i had a fun little one the other day in blockbuster. my girl and i went in to rent a movie (of course), and i turned and said to her, "i wonder what movie matt and mel are gonna rent?" she looked around and seeing only one other couple in in the store, she replys: "that's not matt and mel." so she starts laughing at me and calling me an idiot (lovingly of course), for a minute. then she stopped laughing and said, looking at the entrance to the store, "that's matt and mel." hehe, i won that one.

  • I know exactly what you mean.

I also makes me wonder if we have more natural intuition than we realize, but just aren't able to tap into it. Maybe we don't use it because we don't have to.
absolutely. I used to have it... probably until my 20's. I'd ALWAYS know what the next song on the radio would be... I'd know when the phone was gonna ring... and I'd know who was at the other end. It was quite normal for me, things like that. It's pretty much all gone now. I try and I get it wrong 9 times out of 10 and I'd say the other one is just pure luck :o

I think there's so much we can do that we're completely unaware of.

  • I think one of the freakiest things that ever happened was when I was about 16 probably, me, my sister and two of our friends were sitting chatting in our room when I felt like something went through me and got a really really bad feeling. It passed but we all stopped talking at the same time and all went 'what the fuck was that?'. We'd all felt it. That was just weird.

Once when I was running in Seattle I felt someone hold me up, like lift my back up. I was definitely grateful because I was probably running using poor posture. That happened here once; someone was just holding up my left elbow. Again, I was grateful, and said Thank You to the air. That's really the coolest part about running - it's those psychocool experiences that would freak me out if I didn't really need the extra boost.
