my first real cool bike was my yellowish gold banana seat bike with the ape handles...or what ever they are called. I loved that bike, it had happy faces on the seat too. I miss that bike. Now I have a mtn.bike, and a 3 wheeler skooter with a bigger front tire. I love them all. What I love the most is going on back trails.I dont like riding in traffic.

oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

That's a purdy decent entry-level hardtail. From what I've noticed at mtn bike forums, that bike is the most recommended entry-level bike for on-the-budget mtbr's

Does anyone commute by bicycle during the winter season? I do. Ride safe.
  • Love my bike. Have baskets on the back and do most of our errands on it. We live close to the Ryan Northampton Bikeway which connects with the Norwottuck Rail-Trail. What a joy! Reduced gasoline consumption and keeping in shape. Just got a balaclava for winter riding.

I heard on the radio that Trek invented a chainless bicycle. It uses a carbon fiber belt instead.

  • I just love them. I love going into a bike store and looking at all the different types. I always wish I had a use for some kind of flashy-painted cruiser. Actually, I'd have all sorts of bikes if I could. I love riding a bike. it just feels very independent- when I was a kid and I went off on my bike it was huge release and I still feel that way sometimes! I love the bike guys I pull up next to at lights, they're always cute. I love bungie cords and helmets and bike lights.

are there any other bike people?

P.S. I'm talking bicycles, not motorcycles.
i put off getting my license cause i spent my burger flippin money on a bike. ive had 3 rocky mountains. my last one is the best, it a rocky mountain reaper. sick bike. love to ride

    Here is mine.
    :)
It is currently this color. When I have the time, it is becoming lime green or hot pink. :)
It also has an awesome beer rack on the back. And red dice on the caps for the tires. The company also makes surfboard racks. :)

If you’re looking for a simple bike you can ride comfortably, and often, this is your ride. Our Boss Cruiser and Taxi are what we’d call seriously casual--designed to be low-maintenance, built for comfort, but with the durability to be ridden every day for years on end.

Choose between the versatile Boss Cruiser 7-speed, with its Shimano drivetrain and dual hand brakes; the back-to-basics Boss Cruiser Coaster and its single-speed drivetrain and coaster brake: or the Taxi, which we build specifically for the rigors of the resort rental-bike world, where minimizing down time is not just about maximizing fun time: it’s business critical.

    The Boss
mine is perfect for cruising along the boardwalk and beachfront.
I have a mounted light & horn,... and am/fm radio as well as water bottle .
i will be spending muchg of the spring and summer on my old bicycle.
Oh yes and of course mine is electric blue , which isnt available anymore.

I do, my Moto city tires ensure grip on snowy streets.

Same here! My friends thought I was a nutcase spending that money on a bike, in the years that passed they all learned to appreciate the value of a good bike and all have one too.

Nice to see an international group enthusiastic about bikes from a country where biking is a very common means of transport.

My brother in law is a bike enthusiast and loves bike stores and all bike things, sounds like you.
I go on 20km bike rides 3-4 times a week, depending if the weather is good.

Maybe we can post a pic or two of our bikes? That would be cool.
  • I love them too but sadly with work I have gotten away from them. Worked in a bike store when I was going to college, my mountain bike took me everywhere. Rebuilt it last summer and havent rode it once....:)

I love motorbikes too, I have two: a 2007 Kawaskaki Super Sherpa and a 1975 Yamaha Enduro 400 (that i have rebuilt three times). Got a flat on my other last month and shes been lying wounded in my garage ever since.

  • I got me a Kettler road hog here and there is nothing better than cruising the streets listening to Into The Wild or something upbeat while sweaty business pigs beep their horns and scream at each other in the stationary mass of city traffic. Viva two wheels.
