Congratulations I think you never feel you're ready for something until you have to do it...and then you surprise yourself by realizing you CAN do it. The fact that you're already worrying about a good dad tells me that you will be one Best of luck to you and your girlfriend.

No, we weren't we decide to have children in the nearest future. My girlfriend stoped taking the pills since 6 months, we were only calculating. So maybe we made a fault in the calculation or my soldiers are stronger than I tought. Anyway, we didn't expect to become parents as quick

So after 14 weeks of complications and a lot of emergency visits ( surely not far away from a national record) we had 2 weeks without any shit happening and as final surprise the doctor told us that we'll get a boy.
It's amazing how you change during a pregnancy. Every week you turn more into something called an adult. and to be honest it is fun because you just drop the things that you really doesn't need but it doesn't change your personality. The thing I just find out is that since I know that I'll be a dad soon I listen to more older music like led zeppelin, The Who and AC/DC(especially ride on) and my interrest are more focused too Pearl Jam, Soundgarden and Alice in Chains. it's weird but maybe I'm preparing the field to teach what music is to my boy

Can't wait the moment to see the little man the first time.
I hope that we'll find a name the rest of the pregnancy because we taught we'll get a girl and we find a name which we liked both ( Noémie) but for a boy it's more difficult because we have a huge list of name: Pol, Yann, Travis, Owen, Sven, Dylan, Phillipe, Matteo,Joris,Loïc,...
we still have a few months...

congrats. its not that bad. i have a 2.5 year old and hes the best thing thats happened to me. no i just have to get rid of mommy.
and you can still go to concerts and everday life still goes on.

I missed it the first time around as well. Congrats Lux, I told the story of how I found out my wife was pregnant today as a matter of fact. It's been the best 2 years and 11 months since my little girl was born.

hooray for a baby boy

i knew a kid in school whose name was sven...he had a homemade sweater w/ his name on it. i always thought it was kinda cool!?!

it's kind of narcistic one of my best friend is called sven and it's the only name we took from a person we know. Then, my cousin is called Metty (luxemburgish for Matthias) and we taught we can change it into Matteo (my girlfriend has italian origines).
aye aye that's very difficult to choose a name, do we want a name which isn't common like Travis, Dylan, Owen,...or something more classic like Phillipe, Xavier,...In Luxemburg the people are more conservative when they choose a name it isn't very extravagant the popularst boy names the last months are Lukas, Yann, Felix, Daniel,...
My friends are all joking and telling me to call him Eddie which is a cool name but Äddi means goodbye in luxemburgish and I already ear the jokes from the other childrens ,they can be so mean !!!
