my girlfriend told me yesterday that she hadn't her period and that it's two weeks too late !!!

3 tests positif ....

I'm becoming a dad !!!!! ;)

25 years, I'm still acting like a child...many questions like will I be able to go to concerts ;), will I act like I have too, will I be a good dad, what the Fuck do I have to do ???

10.01.08:
That was my first reaction and after some trouble during the first 5 months, we had a calm time. Then on a sunny epiphany sunday our Child Mattéo was born. In this thread you can read how things changed and which precious replies, comments and help I got from the members of this board. Maybe there are some who'd like to post in it who are in the same case as I or people which need some help because they just heard that they are gonna be parents soon.
I'll keep you informed about how our child has develloped and I surely need some help from people who are already parents and who got trough this...Thanks

Butt-head: This guy makes faces like Eddie Vedder.
Beavis: No, Eddie Vedder makes faces like this guy.
Butt-head: I heard these guys, like, came first and Pearl Jam ripped them off.
Beavis: No, Pearl Jam came first.
Butt-head: Well, they both suck.

Well, first off....congratulations. Just be glad it happened now rather than when you were a teenager or something.

Just be happy. If you love the girl than it'll all work itself out in the end :)

    How old are you ?
Yeah. It's very weird too imagine that you are gonna be parents and a little child who's your product is growing IN your girlfriend !!!
In a few months their will be a little person who need protection, education, and love from YOU.

Congrats! As long as there is love between you, things will be fine.
My little one wasn't planned either. I would say this is one of the better surprises in life.
You don't need to be doing anything now. But understand that your gf will be very tired during the first trimester, most likely. Be understanding because her hormones will be raging and always remember that she is building a little person inside her for you both.
    Best wishes to you!

You don't have to brainwash them. That is one of the really cool things about raising kids. If you like it, they like it. My son is always yelling Pearl Jam!!!!!!!
And when RVM comes on in any form, he is like, "I love this song!"
They can be really funny if you give them the chance. Mine is hysterical.

    *Yawn*

If I had a dollar everytime I heard the 'ole "I'm pregnant with your child" comment.

After a while, I became impervious to it.

    Currently, I have 71 children.

    Congrats, by the way;)

    Congratulations :)

You still have a few years to straighten up completely. My son is now 7, and I have just recently started to notice that I am his model. That is pushing me to be the best person I can be and it's a good thing.

Love him/her unconditionally, be respectful and sensitive to their needs, you'll be fine :)

It will all be okay! Congratulations! My husband's best friend is a single dad, and he always took his daughter to concerts with him! They used to dress up for "KISS" concerts when she was in grade school! He used to have neighborhood teens hang out with him when he was a young dad like yourself, and now they are grown with kids themselves. These kids with kids are now asking him to take their kids to concerts because he is so cool.

You are just beginning a new adventure, and you will no doubt, be the coolest dad if you just remember to be yourself, and enjoy that baby! Good Luck!

  • Congratulatiuons!. You should check out the "who here is pregnant" thread. It's been around since early on in my wife's pregnancy, and Jack is over a year old now. A lot of questions you have now have probably been asked and answered in that thread
