If your scared of Camden....park on the philly side and take the Ferry over. Nice little boat ride to get your thoughts together.
What i would like to see is a "Electric Factory" show from them. Now that would be neat.
Even better ...come up to the biggest hole besides Camden...Reading Pa. i would only have to drive 10 minutes then.
How about the Tower, THAT would be a cool place to see them.
I,ve seen them in Reading for the VFC tour, didn't seem too bad, parking was a little messed up. Lots of little lots around there

The town of Camden is a shithole, but you really don't have to go through shitty parts to get to the venue, unless you're coming from the south, like from the Walt Whitman bridge. But Reading....the arena is right in the middle of the trashiness. And the building is tiny. But it's also a 10 muinute ride for me too, so I'm all for that!
i think your the last person on this board who hasnt told me what an ignorant ass i am...
hehehehehehe.........
If they can't see that you're just having fun then too bad for them.
Some people are so thin skinned these days.
I mean seriously, what kind of person sticks up for Camden.
The sad thing is it's gotten much better over the years. I remember when I was 13, you could see the flames over the river from Camden as it was up in flames as over 130 fires were set during Devil's (Michief) Night.
They should play the Devils new arena in Jersey in Newark I think, but if they play MSG it would be pretty redundant.
I agree, the Devils arena is really great. And for $5 extra you can reserve a spot in their parking lot complete with mapquest directions on how to get to your spot.
I went to the Camden arena for a sold out Aerosmith show, and the traffic getting into the venue parking lots was a nightmare. We sat in traffic for HOURS just outside the arena and missed the opening act because they had a hard time accomodating all the cars. I don't know if I would go back there because of that. Pearl Jam would definitely sell out that arena.

pieces of shit approaching me and asking for spare change......
fuck camden...
I have had pieces of shit approach me in every city I have ever been in begging for change. Camden is shitty but where the venue is located is actually the nice part of town. the tweeter center has more security than any other venue. The parking lot under the bridge is the best place to be before the PJ shows, with no ghettoness. I always have fun there, and you won't be missed.
Where is everyone from that they dont get approached?M.S.G is the same shit,..Camden is fucked up,But ignore them and they wont bother ya!!Or give them a dollar,(who know's,ya might feel good about yourself?):)
Now we got a fuckin fight up here, what there's a republican in the audience, what's going on? Eddie(Randell's Island N.Y 96)
Once an area has a reputation, people -- even people who have never been there or had a bad experience there -- for some reason love joking about and harping on it.
Whatever. I've been to about 30 shows there and never had less than a great experience.

A guy who informed me of the two Camden shows in '06 before they were announced and who also passed along to me rough copy of the last album before it was released just texted me, saying Camden will get two shows in July. I hope he's right. He was legit last time. Here's hoping!

Yes, the ferry operates after the show. I took the ferry back after both shows in 06. It is typically a mad rush to get down there after the show but I think the ferry runs until everyone makes it back across. As I recall, there were cops around for safety purposes as well.
