I don't see what the big deal about Camden is. Cross the Ben Franklin Bridge and you barely have to do any driving and there's parking lots. Oh, such danger and dirt....

I'd rather see them play in Philly, but I was kinda hoping for some summer shows in Camden. Easier to get tickets, and it's fun up on the lawn because you can actually hang out with a bunch of friends instead of being stuck in a seat with one person. At this point, I care more about being with friends than being close.

man i couldn't disagree more with the people who like or think camden is a fine venue...if you are off to the side you have a crappy seat, the sound isnt that great its a boring venue with no heart...SPECTRUM PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

I would take spectrum over camden anyday, the only thing better about camden is the tailgate parties, by the time PJ took the stage in 06 everyone was so trashed, one of the worst crowds I've seen
    9/4/98, 8/4/00, 12/8/02, 12/9/02, 4/15/03, 4/16/03, 4/19/03, 4/25/03, 4/26/03, 4/28/03, 4/29/03, 4/30/03, 7/8/03, 7/9/03, 9/28/04, 9/29/04, 10/6/04, 9/1/05, 9/2/05, 5/16/06, 5/17/06, 5/27/06, 5/28/06, 5/30/06, 6/1/06, 6/3/06, 8/5/07, 6/11/08, 6/12/08, 6/14/08, 6/16/08, 6/24/08, 6/25/08

that crowd was awful! and i never understood getting so trashed that you don't remember the concert! whats the point of that? i talked to one guy three weeks later and he told me he couldnt name one song that was played...and he is in the 10 club!

camden always breeds drunk college frat guys who have 0 interest in the band just there to get drunk and pee all over the lawn...

Camden is fun, but the Lawn Sucks! Its not about being close, it is about quality of sound. Sound from the Lawn BLOWS. Dont waste your money.
The Parking Lot is GREAT, hang with friends before the show for 5 hours grilling, drinking, then go see PJ in some seats...YES the Spectrum is much better, but Camden is great. You don't see anyone in Camden besides a shit ton of PJ fans and POlice.

The Camden shows in 1998 and 2000 were unreal, so the place is capable of hosting a great show.

7.5.03 Notice RITFW in the middle of the Set...They played it because there were fireworks going off over the River, with the Philly skyline as the backdrop...you dont have to be a hippie to appreciate that.

I live 5 mins from Camden and have been to the venue at least 30 times. Walked in several directions away from it, and I can confidently say that you're overexaggerating the hell out of it for comic value.
