Friends with the Ex...

I don't want to go into too many specifics but this is for the guys out there, or anyone who else who wants to impart widsom:

a guy just got divorced, like literally, after 10 months of marriage, (she didn't want kids-he did). So they have no kids.

the ex moved out of their apt


but he's letting her park her car in the driveway while she goes out of town. (literally-her actual vehicle, not in a 'figurative' sense)

Guys-what's up with that?

are they getting back together?

My sister and brother-in-law got divorced a couple of years ago. Although they have kids, the would get a long even if they didnt. It is a bizarre thing actually. They still have keys to one anothers house....Come to family functions...all that shit and they are happier as friends than they EVER were during their 10+ year marriage. So I would say it does happen, and it doesnt mean they will get back together. imho

My relationship with my ex is like this and we don't have kids together. We got married young...were married for a long time and had a great friendship throughout the marriage, so really saw no reason for the friendship to end. He still comes to occasional family functions...and plans to come to my wedding in Australia. We still own our house together (won't be selling it until I'm ready to move) - and he helps me take care of it (way too much for me to do on my own!)...we alternate cars so that I don't put too many miles on mine before I sell it, etc. etc.

Allie - I think it's VERY possible for them to just be friends. If something is off, you'll pick up on it. But I'm learning that lots of people maintain the friendship after the divorce.

i think it all depends on the type of relationship you had and the type of people you are...allie him letting her park her car in the driveway is not a big deal in my opinion

You're welcome I'm realizing there's no standard formula for how these things work...just however it works best for the people involved. Like I said - you'll know if something feels off or makes you uncomfortable.

September 2009. I'm just crossing my fingers that my visa is approved way before then so I'm already in the country!

none taken I know exactly what you mean..if I dont hear it from you or my sis friends I hear the same thing from mine. I dont lie or bullshit just to fuck a girl. But then again theres the girls that just dont care if they get played cause the guys hot and they get a chance to fuck. Kinda why I dont get in a relationship anymore..too much of this playing and game bullshit going on so the girls try doing the same back and it fucks everything up
