that poor rat was just minding his own business and didn't deserve to get beaten to death. how sick are people?
  • Why kill it in a public place? There's no reason for anyone to do that really...might as well do the same to anything else that you don't like. Was it lunging at people and gnashing it's teeth?

Anyhow did they give it to a blind, leg-less homeless guy on a skateboard afterwards so he could bar-b-que it like in the movies?

    yuck!

I have been working in NYC for over 10 years and I just saw my 1st rat on a platform a few months ago. I was freaked....thankfully it was on the smaller side and my train came rather quickly!

but seriously, was there a need for someone to kill it with a stick?

  • i always see rats on the tracks at that station. especially on the N,R,W queens bound side toward the back, but never saw one on the platform at that station. i did see one on the platform at union square. it walked right up behind this dude and started to sniff his shoe. the guy had no idea--it was a ballsy fucker!

  • a few years ago I was walking down the street and a rat stepped on me. It literally ran over my foot. I screamed as I was completely startled, but no one else on the street saw the rat, so to them I was just screaming out of nowhere.

the guy didn't kill it for dinner, he left it on the platform! Why he had a stick is beyond me.

  • They get bigger every year I think. I saw a HUGE one in SoHo last time I was there...my friend freaked out and jumped on my back. So I started to walk towards the rat with her piggy-backing and screaming like crazy.

Poor rat. He was just trying to make a meager living in the sewers of New York, and he gets beat to death by some sadist with a stick.
