Rat ON The Subway Platform

You guys, I am SO skeeved. OMG. It was ON the platform (at 59th Street). OMG.
It was BIG. I ran up the stairs SO fast it was ridiculous.

Some guy came over with a big stick and killed it.


Eesh. I know it's like hazard of living in NYC, but geesh! Geesh!

    I've only seen a rat once here, and it was like the size of a medium cat!!! ew!

    i wasn't gonna laugh 'till i read the 'Some guy came over with a big stick and killed it' part....:D:D

    the only time i was in ny i walked through a drug deal with my mother.....i love new york....:D

    Yeah it was a weird random thing. I think it was like the whole Ides of March thing.

    Usually they are the size of a cat but they're on the tracks, not the platform where people wait for the train. People were like 'thank you' to the guy that killed it. Why he was walking with a stick, I have no idea,
    I am so skeezed I can't sleep!

    But in happier news, I have a date tomorrow (Sunday!) :) With a guy! :)

    well she's the one that walked though it!! i notice a few guys huddled in front of a stoop and instead of walking around them, she plows right through them...:eek: :eek: i still have the picture of the bag of coke being passed right in front of me!!

    I'm not as hardy as you Cate, I am deathly afraid of rodents. of course it's not my 1st sighting, I had one in my apt.

    but it's the first time I saw one that ginormous running around on the platform I was standing on, yes. That's not cool. I'm going to e-mail a complaint to the MTA. That's a public health hazard.
    In fact, I saw an even bigger one on the platform for my stop for when I go to work. But this one was like all over the place. It was so skeezy

    Ooops typo. This is how rumours get started Mookie, my bad. No it's not anyone from the Pit, I wouldn't advertise it like that :-)

    It's a guy. That's all I'm saying. I talked to him on the phone last night. While he couldn't say he was a PJ fan he was not opposed to them, so that's a plus! :)

    yeah it was big. It looked like one of Paris Hilton's dogs. With a big tail.

    But we don't have roos and wallabees and all the other neat stuff you all have! And Koalas! I love them :)

    nope no squirrels here. we got quokkas and bilbies and numbats and potaroos(ask elana about those) and many many more. if its furry and got no pouch then its not allowed in. :D

    we've got all kind of skeezies: rats, squirrels. Racooons. cockroaches. ants, spiders
    there's even a resurgence of bedbugs. I've read they are now rather prevalent in hotels in NYC! :eek:

    well... there was something in my bed. but i can tell you it werent no bed bug. ;)

    until last year id only seen koalas in the zoo and wildlife parks. when i did see one in the wild it was only cause i nearly ran over the stupid thing.
