freakin' Madson is the man right now (never thought I'd say that). and how about Victorino - what a playoff run going. Can't wait until game 3 now - Moyer will have a big effort after struggling last saturday.

oh and where are the Dodgers fans and writers complaining about the park - Manny's homer was even worse than Burrell's the night before. Got to love Manny though - your team is getting its butt kicked and your mouthing off - nothing like being selfish.

Keep the roll going boys - 5 down 6 to go

Must stop the room from spinning..serious hangover going on right now. Saw Chris Myers at McGillan's last night. He was all drunked up.

And yeah, that's great about Myers and all, but I think he may be seriously hurt. He said he sprained his ankle rounding second. And when he was getting up from his chair at the post conference he was struggling. Not good. He lost at least 6 mph on his fastball after the fourth inning - he was throwing terribly(85-86). That's all in your leg drive and he probably fucked that shit up. Hope things are all well.

Difference is Eskin knows sports. Not as much baseball as he knows football and basketball though. I think I'm the only guy around who likes that asshole. And Eskin is a radio personality - not a guy who is supposedly accredited in journalism.

I don't mind Eskin once you know what he's all about

He does get great information...just needs to get his head out of Reid's ass !!

All you stat and trivia geeks...when was the last time the Eagles and Phils played a game on the west coast on the same day ???

I just watched Single Video Theory and now I'm going back to the NHL Network trying not to think about it. It's weird how the closer we get to the Series, the more nervous I get, like it's too out there to even think about.

Does Howard finally break out tonight?

You won't have to worry about that. After Blanton/Hamels/Myers get shelled in the next 3 games, there won't be anymore postseason games for him to pitch in. :)

You better hope, the Series doesn't go to 7 then. Because he's scheduled to pitch Game 7.

Moyer probably will not start again just because LA is being patient with him. Two more things: Win just one game and I'm comfortable; LA is one fucking FAKE city that can SUCK MY BALLS.

Don't underestimate the Dodgers' ability to respond to momentum. They have been doing this all year. It wasn't too long ago that they followed up an 8-game losing streak with a 9-game winning streak. They are the type of club that can ride one good game to a long winning streak.

Oh, and way to be a sore loser. Your team loses and you start making childish, immature comments about one of the greatest cities in the nation? Typical whining Phillies fan, I guess.

Honestly, I'm not comfortable with winning just one game. The Phils need to close it out the next two games.

Facing Kuroda again in Game 6 who has had the Phillies number all year and then the choice of either Moyer or Blanton in Game 7 is not too palatable.

Agreed. But the worst case scenario is winning just one game. Anything less than that then everything goes out the window. My biggest beef is with Jimmy Rollins - seriously, what the fuck??? He doesn't work pitch counts, he doesn't swing downward. It's unbelievable. And with that little scuffle - they should've let Manny go. Fuck it. If you're gonna lose, ya might as well break Manny's jaw and take him out altogether. Also, Russell Martin is a spaz. How can he even complain about getting hit in the knee by Moyer?? The man threw a 76mph changeup inside, and he didn't even try to move out of the way.

Rollins is a strange leadoff hitter. He hits a decent amount of home runs but doesn't walk much and certainly doesn't seem to work the count. He has incredible speed but hasn't been able to utilize it because he can't get on base. I have been pretty surprised at how badly he and Ryan Howard have sucked in this series.
And with that little scuffle - they should've let Manny go. Fuck it. If you're gonna lose, ya might as well break Manny's jaw and take him out altogether.

Why doesn't it surprise that a Philly fan is saying this? Yeah, we're scared of our ability to beat the Dodgers with their best player, so we should try to "break Manny's jaw." Why not just beat us at our best? There's got to be something wrong with you if you're wishing this kind of harm on a guy you don't even know just so your team can have a better chance to win. Geez.
Also, Russell Martin is a spaz. How can he even complain about getting hit in the knee by Moyer?? The man threw a 76mph changeup inside, and he didn't even try to move out of the way.

Let's see...the Phillies have been throwing at the Dodgers all series...Martin got knocked down in the previous game, along with Manny. He got knocked down once again today and hit TWICE. I think a spaz would be someone who DOESN'T get pissed off about that type of dirty play, rather than what you are suggesting.

Disappointing game again for Moyer... wondering if he's just run out of gas this year.

Not too worried. Yesterday was a must-win for LA, and they did what they had to do. Hopefully Blanton pitches as well as he did against MIL, and our bats in the middle of the lineup come alive.

Of course is doesn't matter how well they pitch if the bats don't wake up

It could be that Moyer just doen't pitch well in Dodger Stadium. For his career going into last night, his era is almost 7 there.
