Another favorite is Short's. I just found a brew they're coming out with called Bananas and Blow - a Ween song! Every time I stop in their pub way up north in Michigan, they have Ween music playing. I get the sense that the owner is a big fan and the workers there just deal with it. Anyway, great beers but prolly not answering your original ask of good beers with wide distro. Still had to mention a beer named after a Ween song. http://www.shortsbrewing.com/brews.htm
My local pub doesn't have that many types of beer/lager on tap, so I usually go with either a Guinness or Becks Vier. If it's bottled I will go for Corona, Cusquena, Brahma, Sol - basically anything South American.
I'm not too picky though when it comes to beer, although I can't drink Kronenburg without getting a hideous head ache, and I tend to steer clear from Stella because it gives me savage hangovers.
I know it's wrong, but I'm also quite partial to the odd cheeky Budweiser! Ice cold on a summers day, I think it's quite refreshing. I think it might just be a nostalgia thing though cause I drank quite a lot of it in my early teens
Newcastle
Seadog Wheat Ale (either blueberry, peach, or apricot)
Lost Coast Raspberry Brown (if you like dark beers, seek this out)
Blue Moon (not so keen on their fall beer, tho)
Sam Adams Octoberfest and Cherry Wheat
Pete's Wicked Ale Strawberry Blonde

oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.
Of course you like it better, Blue Moon is a cheap (and rather tasteless) knockoff.
this is why when discussing beer you should never diss the Czechs and Belgians... those fuckers know their beers

So I'm getting stick of drinking Stella whenever I'm out. Any suggestions for some good beer? I'm more concerned about taste than whether or not it'll get me drunk (yes, strange I know).
try some local micro/craft brewers in your area that your bars/pubs support. You will usually get some favorful ales/lagers.

Since Fanch hasn't seen this thread or can't post right now...I will give Natural Light some much needed recognition.

It is a great Belgium style ale actually brewed in Cooperstown NY. My favorite by them is 3 Philosophers. YUMMY!
Ommegang makes some great beers
Yep, 3 Philosophers is really good too! Mmm!
I would love to be able to drink more of that, but it's so f'n expensive! Although, you don't have to drink as much of it...so maybe it evens out.
It's funny, I went out with a buddy to watch the football game last night. We went to this sports bar, had some wings and cheap beer (Bud Light...bleh! But it was dirt cheap so who am I to argue). After a few of them I stopped off and got a bottle of Ommengang Abbey. Drinking shit for a couple hours straight then popping open that was amazing! The smell as it poured out into the glass and that first sip...Mmmmm! Makes you appreciate quality beer!

I know what you mean i usually buy good bear forthe first 6-8 beers hoping the cheaper beer won't bother me as much by the time i get to drinking it because i'll have a buzz, but the drop off is always drastic.

I can assure you Stella is a real Belgian beer
Give me Leffe Blonde or 9, Duvel, Westmalle Triple, Chimay Blanche or Bleue , Ename Blonde...
I also like Jupiler, Bocker and Stella (which is really a regular beer here).
Foreign beers: Carlsberg, Starobrno, Staropramen, Zlatopramen, Velkopopovický Kozel. I also liked Labatt and some beers from microbrewers in NY.
I love beer.

Other than that, though it has to be Dogfishhead 90 minute IPA.
Pumpkin ales I'd have to go with the one from the Shipyard. Love that!
